Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I was on waiting list for a pig from Suzette Ferguson of AZ Micro Mini Pigs located in Queen Creek, AZ. for 2 years. I presumed she must be an ethical breeder; otherwise she wouldn’t have so many people on her waiting list. When I inquired about the long wait, I asked about other Micro Mini Pig Breeders in her area and I was told NEVER to talk to them as they were jealous of her and the fact she BREEDS the smallest pigs in the United States.

Even though I had placed a cash deposit on the pig, (2 years before), I was never allow to visit her home and pig facility that she runs out of her home and barn behind her home.  I asked to meet the breeding pig parents and was always given an excuse or runaround of why I couldn’t visit.

Finally, in the fall of 2015, my pig was born. I was NEVER allowed to see or visit the pig until the day I picked it up. My pig was 5 weeks old the day I took it home. I questioned Suzette about the age of the piglet as I heard they were supposed to stay with the Sow until they were 8 weeks old. She told me that was ridiculous as no Sow wouldn’t let them near her that long. (Later, I saw she sent a text to another pig parent saying she removed my pig from its Mother at 2 weeks old as it was nursing too much and she didn’t want it to get big).

I was told to ONLY feed my pig ¼ cup of Elder Masuri Pig pellets and NOTHING more. I was also told to NEVER take her out of her pen until she was spayed, which would be at approximately 4 months old. The spay was not included in the price I paid for the pig. I was also told for the money I paid,  I would receive “all the support” I would need from her for my pig because I purchased it from her.

Once I got my piglet home, it was the beginning of a nightmare! My pig screamed and squealed endlessly during the day. Sometimes, I ended up spending 4-5 hours a day in her pen as I wasn’t working at the time. The only time she would calm down is when I would drop a few pellets of that daily ¼ cup of pellets. Every time I would contact Suzette Ferguson regarding my pig’s behavior, her standard answer was; “I don’t know what you are doing wrong, my pigs NEVER do that! She told me to read this book regarding mini pigs and when I began to question her about my pig’s behavior, she exploded on the phone and started SCREAMING at me. I explained my pig was exhibiting signs of being STARVED and also (according to the book, she didn’t stay with her Mom long enough). I continued to believe what Suzette said, following her SECRET feeding plan, with no change in my pig. In a separate conversation, I asked for the contact info of other pig moms so we could talk, she refused. During that phone conversation, so called me stupid and said, “I knew you were going to be trouble”. Then she said, why is everyone having so many problems with my pigs and some of them have even died”? “What is the problem with ALL YOU PEOPLE?”

Eventually, I couldn’t take it any longer, I called her telling her I needed to Re-Home my pig. I felt awful as I have raised tons of animals in my life and had never “failed at it”. Once again, she went off on me, screaming and yelling about how rehoming a pig was an embarrassment to her and how it would RUIN her business. I explained it wasn’t about the pig, I just couldn’t take it anymore. She called me lots of names, then bullied and shamed me! She had me crying several times on the phone. She called and texted other pig owners about what a piece of garbage I was. She made up lies about me and my pig and said no one wants a 4 month old pig. When I posted on my Facebook page that I needed to rehome my pig, she called me immediately and threatened to spread lies and rumors and ruin my home business. She even sent me a fake “Cease and Desist Order, threatening me and my business as well.

Long Story Short---I did end up re-homing my pig and the Vet told the new owner the pig was being starved by me. The Vet immediately increased her food to ½ cup of pellets a day and lots of fruits and vegetables. IMAGINE HOW AWFUL I FELT HEARING THAT, I WAS DEVASTATED, as I was following this GREEDER’s SECRET STARVING PLAN  for her mini pigs!!!  Due to the pig’s behavior problems from being taken away from her Mom at 2 weeks, my pig is now on her 3rd home in 10 months!

DON’T DO BUSINESS WITH AZ MICRO MINI PIGS OR SUZETTE FERGUSON, in my opinion, she is an unethical breeder, obsessed with the money, lies and looking good and doesn’t care about the pigs at all!

I am so saddened to read this.  Not by the pigs.  I know the pigs are amazing.  I've met them in person, spoken with owners in person and have come to respect Suzette as the only pig breeder i'd go to.  I'm saddened to see an innocent person treated this way.

I have been on Suzette's waiting list for 18 months.  Prior to getting on her waiting list, I purchased a pig from another breeder out of state.  I loved the pig and Suzette would often give me, a stranger, tips on how to care for him.  NONE of which included starving or harsh treatment.  She had no reason to talk to me.  I had no deposit on a pig and no intentions to put a deposit on a pig because I know unless you really want to work at it,  one pig is the best solution for the average family.  One day my poor pig didn't look right.  I asked Suzette if she had any ideas and she immediately said he needs to go to the vet.   I did take him and he had developed a blockage and was not able to be saved.  As he spent a couple days in the hospital trying to be saved, Suzette continually emailed me asking how he was doing -- again remember, I was nothing more than a stranger to her.  When I told her he had passed she told me how terribly sorry she was.  After a bit, I decided I wanted to get on her waiting list for a new pig.  Do you know what she told me?   She told me don't.  She said the list was so long at the time that it would be years until I got my pig.  She gave me ideas on how to look for a good pig breeder without such a long waiting list.  Hmmmm that sure doesn't sound like a money hungry "greeder" to me????  In the end, I decided her pigs were worth the wait.

What saddens me is the human condition.  If you notice these posts all came up about four days ago.  If she is such a bad, bad breeder then why after years of "bad" breeding are these posts randomly showing up unless maybe these complainers are using this site as their latest attempt to smear her....

Suzette -- I know it's hard but rise above it.  YOU are a good person and a great breeder.  I have the utmost respect for you as a breeder and as a person and "complaints" on this website will not at all sway me or probably the almost 100,000 likes you have on your page!!

I own one of the mini pig owners provided by said business called Az Micro Mini Pigs. I have owned many special breeds of animals for several years and proudly have a healthy, happy pig from this breeder. A friend highly recommended this breeder to me a few years back and I'm so thankful.

This report clearly states a person who did not do adequate research on this type of animal. She was in love with the thought of owning a pig but not in touch with reality. It clearly shows she called and abused the offer of the breeder to give follow-up advice on how to care for her animal. It also shows lack of judgement and common sense when she did not realize the pig needed more food when she states the vet said it was starving.

A responsible owner for this type of breed/animal would have done research, found a qualified vet who is licensed to practice on mini-pigs (many vets do not), followed the feeding guidelines on the Mazuri website or bag of food (follow instructions correctly), and used simple assessment skills that were provided by the breeder at time of purchase.

This person is does not own one of her pigs anymore so she shouldn't have a say as to how she conducts business. Once the pig is sold the breeder/business owner is not responsible for how the purchaser treated or mistreated that animal. In the report it shows the breeder did what she was required to do which was find a new owner since this person was not suitable to handle this type of breed.

The Breeder also is required to have a certified vet assess and deem the animal healthy to be sold. AZ Micro Mini Pigs fulfilled that obligation with one of the best and respected vets in Arizona. All her piglets are documented and backed up with proof. Unfortunately, this report shows gossip and no proof to the hateful comments against the breeder's business.

I have seen this person and others in a small hateful group spread lies, attacks, and rumors which are all untrue on social media. They make claims about stunting growth which cannot be done biologically. They are ponds to the few breeders- one terrible breeder with reports of dead piglets in California and one in Arizona very close to this farm so they spread these lies. These other breeders (NOT Az micro mini pigs) want to take business away from this establishment for their own personal financial gain.

There is a restraining order against the leader of this group because the judge saw proof these people are telling lies and causing harm to this business. Sadly, they can not just move on. I know this person is sad and feels she failed as an owner, but attacking a reputable business is not the way to divert your anger.

Advice is to do your research on an animal before purchasing. Find an animal which doesn't require time, patience, and extra love. Pigs are like babies and need special attention-- it will react to lack of knowledge, they're super smart.

I wish you well in the future. I hope you and the others come to terms with your anger and hate. I have never seen this happen before. I have never seen any breeders attacked and false reported in my life like they have done to this ethical breeder. Ultimately, this report shows this person needs therapy and I hope she gets the help needed to move on.

AZ Micro Mini Pigs is an excellent breeder with many reliable reccomendations. Many of her sold pigs are on Instagram with their own accounts--thousands of followers who can see first hand they are not "starved" and cared for by responsible owners. AGAIN, breeder is not responsible for pigs after selling them. This report does not show the seller did any wrong doing.

I am a happy owner of a pig from Az Micro Mini Pigs.  I was on the wait list for almost a year.  During that time I was allowed to visit her farm but had to schedule it during times where no moms were nursing for the safety of the piglets.  There was also meet ups with previous owners at parks to see all different ages of pigs that were sold and she even had a brreeder mom there at that specific meet up.  If you were on the wait list for so long. Did you attend any meet ups?  Did you research the type of food and manufacturer reccommended portions?  Why is that the breeders fault you felt your pig needed more food?  I am a responsible pig owner and I know pigs weight flucuates and somedays he gets more food than other days.  In her sales agreement you knew the spay was not included so why are you even speaking about that?  Dogs do not need anything besides their dog food. so do you feed your dog a salad or fruit? No because their food contains nutrients, oils, protein etc.  Im sorry you felt you couldnt handle your pig and rehomed it.  Sounds like that was the best thing in the end. Pigs are not for everyone but I dont think the blame needs to be on a breeder. I have never seen people attack dog breeders and blame them for any issues besides an obvious defect like a heart condition which all of az pigs are cleared before purchase.  if you dont agree then why do they get health certificates?  Anyone who buys a pet needs to do research and take responsibility for their own pets.  I would never call up my past dog breeder and blame them for my dog getting cancer.  As far as the personal relationship it sounds like you both didnt like each other and you dont have to. But attacking someone for personal reasons is childish and sad. Move on you dont have your pig anymore and its done.  Maybe a hamster is more the type of pet that works for your home.
