Let me start off by saying I was once a loyal customer of B&H Photo for 10 years. I have spent 10s of thousands of dollars through myself and the various companies I control. I am appalled by my latest experience purchasing my own personal equipment.

I got the new Surface Pro 6 and wanted the black keyboard for it. I ordered this and BH did not ship me the correct part. However, they seem to think this is my responsiilbity and refuse to ship me the correct part without returning it first. So the issue is in my country I cannot ship out of the state without a commercial export license that I do not have.

Henry Posner offers to give me a $20 credit for sending me the incorrect part. Even though I have spent many many many thousands of dollars. I am left feeling like these people could care less, they really could. And because I am in Ecuador, EVER THOUGH they made a mistake they will not correct it. Just will not correct it. They have decided to loose my future business, I even warned I would seek a public forum to voice my complaint because they are block happy.

This place is a JOKE. They curate the reviews and refuse to post anything that isn't 3 star positive or better. It is amazing to see this fake businesses with fake reviews, reviews from employees, you name it. What a BS joke this is.

Then ask yourself why you purchse from these people? They are a middleman selling foreign brands as a nationalist company. I mean it is just so pathetic of a joke it is amazing... they don't employe any engineers, artists, crafters... just sell what the rest of the world works hard to make. I can't wait for the day djI, Nikon, Canon decide to sell direct and kick out these American middleman businesses that just disrespect their clients, their business and the rest of the world that makes thier little bubble even possible.

Enjoy it while you can because I suspect it won't last too much longer. You can always decide to do the right thing, but until people care enough to do it a good thought is wasted. I regret to have to write such an opinionated review, especially since I lived in the USA and was born in the USA. But what I see now just makes me sick, and I will no longer purchase anything that ships from the USA.

I finally got so fedup I just had to file a credit card chargeback. For whatever reason I finally got contacted by someone at B&H who took care of this... a little too late. Ended up costing them 2x the amount of the entire order.

Next time Henry Posner you should do a better job. I could have been a happy customer if you had made a little more effort in correcting your shipping error. I know the situation was unique since I reside in Ecuador... but still. You did your job horribly. I will not purchase things from B&H Photo again, because I know you are just about yourself. A true Win/Lose thinker who DO NOT stand behind not even their own mistakes.

It is just so rediculous that a multi million dollar business decides that this is how they are going to resolve problems that they have created by shipping the incorrect part. Now that I know your policy, I just cannot take that kind of risk on any other shipment.

So anyone reading this dealing with this clown Henry Posner... just call Visa/MC and report the charge directly. They think they can dictate how things are... well... HOW DID IT WORK OUT FOR YOU THIS TIME???? HENRY???

 Purchased advertised equipment at a fixed price, was shipped a complete inaccurate product with an active inventory property code of a rental company. B&H resolution was "our mistake, we no longer have the used 9+ condition item in stock but can ship a new in box item at 10% off.” Soooo, where’s my order? Who’s product do I have? This puts the original sale $500 over the listed price and in possession of a product owned by someone else according to their inventory Maybe they should change their name to B&S?? If that ain’t Bait and Switch, I don’t know what is??

Here are the words from Henry Posner last email to me:

Even though the latter item is more expensive we offered a $20.00 refund or the opportunity to return the item you received for a refund. We are prepared to issue the refund as soon as we receive the returned product you received. Still waiting on the $20 credit that you promised me. Looks like you have several discrimination lawsuits filed against you. I will leave my comments on there as well. See if I can get the SEO for these other pages ranking higher.

I will not tolerate a place like this saying one thing and doing another. I guess you enjoy a reputation of cheating and stealing from people. Basically just dishonest unethical worthless rats.

You offered me a $20 credit to keep the item you sent by mistake. Shall I post all of your responses in here so they can see that this is not the truth that you sent me when I made the request. At this point I am still waiting for the $20. You are a cheater HENRY POSNER. Just a scammer a cheater and I hope my reviews make an impact on you this year. I will continue until you process the credit that you offered me. Remember, EVERY reply to this ripoff report only ranks it higher in SEO.

Thank you for responding even though you won't process the $20 and resolve the open complaint. Proving to me that you are in fact enjoying treating me like this for whatever reason. I know I was rude but honestly dude, you deserve it. Your incompetent and sent me the incorrect part. What else can I say. You are completely closed minded to people in circumstances outside of the United States, which is what makes me feel more and more that you clearly are run by nationalists. We regret this cutomer's dissatisfacction. When the customer advised he'd received the wrong (and higher-priced) item, we offered two remedies:

  • Buy another of the item he wanted, return the item he received and we will issue a refund, or
  • Return the item he received as a return-for-exchange and we will ship the ordered item.

The customer has declined both options. These offeres remain open.
