Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I was a victim of forgery at a Bally's gym on LI ,NY. I refused to sign any contracts and said that I was willing to buy a 30 day pass only. I also said that if they didn't have such a thing tat I would go to another gym that offered such a thing. I later left the country on a 4 month business trip. When I returned I saw that they were taking over 100 dollars per month out of my checking account. I called bally's and was told that I signed a contract. I asked for a copy and when I recieved it I was astounded to see that someone forged my name on a 3 year contract. They also had the audacity to add two other "family" members who don't exist.

I have been told by the attorney general's office to get a police report and by law enforcement that it is a civil case and they cannot give me a police report. I am stuck as a victim of white collar crime without any means of not only bringing these criminals to justice, but also of stopping them from future crimes of this type. My bank has refunded my money based on my meeting with bank officials and presenting them with copies of the forged documents. My initial 30 day pass was paid for through my debit card which is hw they got my account number. Unfortunately, my bank has no person on staff that can make any legal statement regarding the legitimacy of the signatures although the forgery is clearly unlike my own signature in several ways. I want to know why the bank requires a signature card if they obviously have no way of determining the authenticity of a signature. I will seek justice in this case if it takes 50 years. Is there anyone else who is a vicitim of forgery at Bally's? Please contact me. If this is in fact a pattern, these criminals should be in prison instead of in business.

Awful now on the shoulders of the bank

Sad as it is, it is now on the shoulders of the bank to go after Bally's. I had this happen to an ex boss of mine who had a secretary who was forging checks, but because he technically wasn't out any money (the bank refunded it all), he was told by authorities the bank had to go after her... our lovely lovely justice system... I hope something good comes out of this for you!!! Good luck!
