boa charged me more than 1000.00 dollars in overdrafts on business act. i was suposed to have overdraft protection, but they put it on the wrong acct. they also cashed 1100.00 fraudulent checks. one check for over 300.00 didnt even have a signature on it. refused to help me get it back.

the checks were all cashed at albertsons grocery, so i went there and it was to late to catch it on tape. because of erasure time. and the employee who cashed them no longer worked there but albertson was willing to return the money to if the bank would returned the checks to them.

the bank refused to help me i reported it to controller of curancy. that was a wast of my time which took 60 days for them to tell me of the 60 day clause that covered the banks behind on everthing. i am waiting for a reply from state attorney for florida. have reported it to police. why waste anymore time. i still want my money and bank of america stinks.

Find another accountant.

First, you don't have to be an account to look at your statement. Second, you should find a more competent accountant. They should have caught the problems with the overdraft protection and fraudulent checks or should have at least questioned you about them. Third, you could look through the checks before you give them to an accountant. You might have caught something suspicious earlier. Good luck.

first of all, i am not an acountant, and i dont check my statements every month. but i know when i have enough money in my acct to cover overdrafts. i also know i had overdraft protection, but i had several accts, and the business person put overdraft on personal acct instead of business acct. 2ndly. these overdrafts occured over a period of almost two years, i did get some of them removed. then i found out that in the process of overdraft protection, if you deposit money in the overdraft acct the bank does not credit that money until the next statement, which is another way of keeping and using your money , and also then if you deposit money inthe acct, it wont be available there until the end of the statement period. which is a way to charge you overdrafts when you have already deposited money to cover those overdrafts. 3rdly no i do not go through my checks cause i have an acountant and i deliver the checks to her each month. i was looking for something else when i saw the fraud checks. i then reported it to the bank. they were never friendly about it, and they basically said we are not going to accept you request and open an investigation, also sent me on a time consuming jaunt to other people, phone calls etc. like i was a perfect stranger. what unbelievable treatment. thats when i new that bank of america didnt care wether i was a customer or just another complainer. crazy.

I have accounts at Bank of America and Citibank. I have nothing but good things to say about Citibank for over35 years. In the past three years a different culture has developed there and it is also apparent at Bank of America. They are for profit banks. That doesn't excuse the deceptive and predatory practices that they use to ROB our money. I just had $25,000 paid to Rhodes Furniture two weeks ago. That was supposed to be a monthly payment on a zero percent account. I notified Bank of America immediately. They notified HSBC while I was on the phone. I was told it would take 12 days to send the money back. It is over two weeks and I don'y see it applied to my account. I have talked to Bank of America and HSBC and I see that they are not in a rush to correct this error. There are two ways to get a response. I told HSBC that i reported it on Ripoff.com and the consumer represenative immediately gave me to a supervisor who said the check is in the mail. My friend got all of her illegal charges from Chase dropped after she mentioned and reported them on Ripoff.com. The second way is to SCREAM AND SHOUT AT OUR CONGRESSMEN AND SENATORS. There needs to be national regulation of the banks just as their is on State Chartered banks. If we don't do this with passion and care we will continue to get bank robbed by our banks. FINALLY, I WANT TO THANK RIPOFF.COM FOR ALL OF THEIR HELP. THEY ARE THE NEW CONSUMER ADVOCATES OF OUR TIME.

Fill in some of the gaps here.... how could you get $1000 in OD charges because the OD Protection was on the wrong account? Didn't you call them the first time it happened? How could you go more than 60 days in repoorting the fraudulent checks? Don't you get a statement every month? Didn't you notice that your account was out of balance when you opened and balanced your statement at the end of the month?
