Ordered (2) leather sofas from Bassett Furniture in March,2014. After several weeks, I called to inquire about the delivery.
Why so long?? Coming from CHINA! Was not told they were imported pieces. Bassett has an interesting profile site showing a factory in Va, leading you to believe that this is AMerican made furniture.
DId not want them. When I cancelled, I was told that there was a 15% restocking fee.
1. No where was it stated that this order was a special order. This merchandise is offered in the catalog. CHoice of brown or black.
2. Cancellation policy states any non-custom items not shipped from the warehouse full refund. One piece is there, never delivered, one piece still on a ship somewhere!
3. Regional manager stated that these pieces were ordered especially for me!!! Why was this not noted on the sales slip???
She agreed on charging only 10%. How big of them to reduce the rip-off! So, I am getting charged $397.80 for:
Having the furniture delivered and changing my mind? NO!
Canceling a special order? NO!
Bassett Furniture should rethink their business practices and advertising.
