Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
This is to warn anyone in the SF Bay Area that is considering working with Bay Marketing & Advertising. I work with these bullshiters for a week.

They represent themselves as a marketing and advertising company. What they actually do is sell crappy coupons door to door for crappy beauty salons. I was mislead that I was going to be doing advertising, graphic arts etc. I sold coupons making $15 for a sale. I made $200 per week. Hardly enough for the bay. The two guys that run the place are sleezy scumbags. Stay away from this place with a ten foot pole.

False and accusations and slander

#2REBUTTAL Owner of company

Mon, May 03, 2004

This is in response to a false statement posted on rip-offreport.com regarding my business. The former employee who suposedly posted the original report claims he never made the statements or gave anybody consent to post statements under his name. After repeated atempts to get ripoff-report to look into the matter and remove the very slanderous statements, we have recieved nothing but rude and unproffesional responses to our requests. "Rip-off Report is also not accepting comments like those found on many sites that have "threads" with meaningless comments, ..in most cases using foul and insulting language against others, similar to those assaults on victims who have come to the Rip-off Report for justice." This is in there disclaimer. This is how they responded to Ian. >From: >To: "'Ian Sedigh'" >Subject: RE: due for trouble >Date: Sat, 1 May 2004 11:48:36 -0700 > > >OK, I'll get right on that! > >What are you smokin? > >Tell 7 on your side, they are welcome to contact us. All the statements are fake. We are not a pyramid scheme, we are an intergrated marketing company that combines: direct marketing sales, grapic design, web design, and promotional advertising. We have a very tight and good relationship with all of our clients, employees, and past employees. If anyone has any questions feel free to contact someone her at our office. As we are a small business and anyone here can help you or answer any questions. We are also a member of the better business bureau now for a couple of years. Bay Marketing & Advertising is a very fair, ethical and honest company. Now are name is being dragged through the dirt. Bay Marketing & Advertising www.baymanda.com 1-800-571-4440

BAY M AND A IS A GOOD COMPANY, IANS A BAD EGG

#3UPDATE EX-employee responds

Sun, April 25, 2004

My name is Heidi, and I saw Ians complaint on this sight and decided I had to respond. I worked for this company for only around a month, and I have to say that Ian is crazy. I worked with him personally, and I know He is the sleezy sumbag. He was fired from the job after 2 months for putting a potential client in to tears, chasing her down the street, and screming profanities at her in broad daylight in a well My fist two weeks at this company I did extremly well. This made Ian very angry, and jealous. Because he sucked, (Even with his morning Yoga routine) I visited many if the spas and salons personally, and recieved top notch service from all of them. In the month that I worked there I became very good friends with the two owners of the company. I started this job in desperate need of a shoulder to cry on, and some finacial stability and this company and these two guys gave me both of these things. Unfortunatly I had to leave this great company due to family obligations. I just want to say thank you Bay M and A and I am sorry for what your good name is being put through Ian, heres a little quote for you, someting I think you should think about in your day to day life " If you want a place in the sun you have to put up with a few blisters" ABIGAIL VAN BUREN 1918.

Disgruntled past employee

The above statement written by Ian is completly false. First he worked for us for almost two months (not one week.) Second, I have worked at this company for three years, and I make well over $50,000.00 a year. Which is definatly enough to live in the bay. Bay M&A is a marketing and advertising company that helps small businesses stay alive. We have worked with over 40 spas, salons and massage therapist throughout California. Bringing them new clientel from they're areas. While giving the clients an affordable way to support their local businesses, and sample the services. The majoriity of the bussinesses we represent are well established. And we help those that are just beginning to establish themselves in their communities. In order to succeed at this job, or any otheer sales job you have to be able to sell yourself, be confident, and believe in what you are doing. Ian did well at the beginning but somewhere along the way lost his confidence, which led to his failure. Any successfull sales person will tell that it is hard work in the beginning and the money is there to be made, but YOU have to make it. Its not going to come looking for you. I find it a complete insult to the company and myself that Ian, being personaly upset with his own failure, continues to persist with pressing his own disdisgruntled views upon the community.

sales rep

#5UPDATE Employee

Sat, April 24, 2004

I am a sales rep for Bay M & A. I used to work in an office in a basement with no sun, no personal contact, etc. I enjoy working outside, walking around in the sun, talking to 60+ people everyday and trying to make their lives better. giving them a way to enjoy pampering (facials, massages, etc) at a price that everyone can afford! I also love helping out the businesses (spas, salons, etc) get more business. This is definitly -NOT- what I went to college for. However, I have friends that work at places like Sony, EA, managers at blockbuster, etc, and I am making more money (and enjoying what I do) more than my friends. I also enjoy working with the people in the office! As for the 2 men that run the business, they are the kindest and most understanding people that I have ever worked for. I had to leave for 2 weeks. Afterward, I came back and was welcomed with wide smiles and high fives! This kind of job (commission based) is souly based on -your- attitude and how much -you- want to succeed. A lot of people can NOT do this type of job, because most of us were raised believing that rejections are bad. Rejections are personal. The ones that succeed in this environment are the happy people that think of a rejection as an excuse. the difference between a sales job and a customer service job is the ability to close. if you can't close, you could be great at answering phones, but not at getting sales. What I have to say to Ian is: I'm sorry that you had a bad experience. Also, if you were mislead of what Bay M & A does after the first interview and day of observation, then you either weren't A) paying attention, or B) didn't ask the right questions or
