Seems like Be is changing its name again-- google 'The Buzz Kids Unlimited" and "BreakintoHollywood.com", both bearing copyright dates of 2008. Wonder how many names Erik Desando, Barry Falck, et. al. have and will come up with?

I too signed my son on for Be services nearly two years ago. He was promised a spot in their TV series upon completion of their Rising Stars affiliate boot camp. Never happened--I had (and continue to have) problems contacting his Talent Director for follow up. I heard from another parent (whose son appeared in the tv shows) that production on the tv shows had shut down due to financial problems last summer (08), according to their talent director. My son was eligible to do the Talent Bee also this year, but we decided not to do this. I heard from another parent that they were called and encouraged to let their child participate in the talent bee--for a fee. We were not quoted a fee, but I'd be curious to find out what they were charging (on top of their existing fees). I also recently tried emailing and then calling his talent director-lo and behold, I got a message that she had left, they wished her well, and my son's new talent director is the owner's sister/manager (Courtney Hughes, who doesn't return our calls, either). As an experiment, I tried calling other extensions in the same office, and it seems that all of their Talent Directors have "moved on to other opportunities, and we wish (insert name) well", and the caller is redirected to contact Courtney Hughes (manager, and sister of the owner) as their new talent director. This is the San Jose CA branch, by the way. Another parent and I plan to visit their office in person and make an appointment with my son's new 'talent director' and see what's up. Last summer (2008), this news story about their questionable practices ran on our local ABC affiliate (which earlier lauded Be/Gonnabe/My Artists Place, ironically). http://abclocal.go.com/kgo/story?section=news/7_on_your_side&id=6345835 I have contacted the reporter regarding a follow up story with this latest information (re: apparent closure of SJ office without notifying clients). Also, I've noticed Be has yet to fulfill its services listed in its contract--celebrity appearances, classes for parents, the television show appearance, and other items. I've also heard complaints from Be parents that Be has switched vendors for some of the services, and the quality of services is very poor (photography being the chief complaint)
