Beach time rentals and has ruined my family's vacation. They had used the oldest sales trick in the book, a "bait and switch." Two days before I was supposed to be in Florida beach time rentals had called me to let me know that the rental home that I had reserved had an accidental fire. They had claimed the Air-conditioner had caught fire in the house and the was Rental was unsuitable to stay in. They had offered me another location at the exact same rate swearing to be the same square footage and the same quality rental. Unfortunately when I had arrived to the new rental home i was extremely disappointed. I had taken the time out of my day to go to the previous beach home that I was promised To see the damages that they had stated but there were none. The original home  i was promised was  immaculate, and the air-conditioning unit was not even new or replace as they had stated. Assuming the air conditioner had caught fire, they would have to replace the unit, or would have had Noticeable fire damages.  In lesser words I had been lied to which   Regarding the accidental fire. The quality of the rental home was not as I was told. In fact the home was 300 sqft. less then I was Informed and was disgusting.

Upon my arrival to the beach home I had noticed a letter from the rental company stating that "our friendly staff is pleased to be of service and we trust that you will have a memorable and enjoyable experience should you require any additional help or information during your stay with us please do not hesitate to contact our office at 800-691-8183." I had contacted the office several times regarding the quality of the Beach home. I had to leave several messages on their office voicemail in order to receive a response. The Beachhouse was unsuitable to stay in because the master bedroom was originally the garage converted into a bedroom, the kitchen walls were warped like there was black mold behind it, I found several holes in the walls in several of the bedrooms, the back door did not even lock as well as the side door of the house looked as if someone had already broken in before. As well the photos they sent me of the property seem to be more Glamour shots than Realistic photos. After several complaints to management I was told that I was trying to receive a free vacation. And was  I could receive a full refund when I was already in the state of Florida at the mercy of this rental company. I had even called another local beach rental company and they had apologized I had been duped by beach time rentals Which is A very common style practice by this company. They had told me that they have heard nothing but bad reviews regarding beach time rentals.  unfortunately I did not read the Consumer Reports regarding the rental company before I had Booked my vacation.

I have documented/taken photos of all The issues with the beach rental And my best suggestion to any family Who is planning a family vacation to Florida/Clearwater not used beach time rentals as they  ruin my vacation. I had spent more time on my vacation calling management regarding all the issues with the rental then enjoying my family vacation.  ironically they had sent a fruit basket Thinking that Would compensate for all of my Issues. Me and my family agreed that we would rather sleep/camp out on the beach then stay in a beach time rental home. This company is a scam/conniving Liars. Do yourself a favor and rent a hotel room  or find a different beach rental company. Do not let this company Ruin your vacation as they did mine. :-(

To Whom it May Concern,

The property you originally reserved did have an unexpected accident. The ac motor caught on fire and we had to move the tenants that were in the property to a comparable home. This happened a few days before your arrival. We have records from the fire department coming to the property, we have records of a new ac motor that was purchased and we can also provide the contact information of the guests that were present when this occurred. This was an unexpected issue that was out of our control but we are always willing to do what is right and fair for our clients. Our rental agreement states that if the unit you reserved is unusable you will be placed in a comparable home or you will get a full refund. Per the rental agreement, we did offer two comparable properties or a full refund. You requested to be upgraded to a home that was $3000 more than what you originally paid for your home, we offered to put $500 towards the upgrade, take care of the cleaning and take of 20% of the rental all at our expense, and you were still not satisfied. These offers were made days prior to your arrival. You chose one of the comparable properties and stayed there the whole week (at no extra cost).

As a gesture to you, our valued client, we ordered a fruit basket for your arrival so your family could enjoy it and we also offered an early check in and a late check out at no extra charge.

A few hours after your arrival, we sent one of our property managers to follow up and make sure everything was going well. At this time you expressed you were not satisfied with the rental and we offered to send housekeeping and maintenance to assist in anything you needed. At this time you were also given the option to stay or to vacate the home with a full refund, you declined our offer to send housekeeping and maintenance and chose to stay in the home. We received calls from you every day regarding your disaffection, we offered a full refund even after you occupied the home for 4 nights, we were ready to pay for the 4 nights you had already stayed at our expense.

Your comments regarding the condition of the property are not true, we have passed all inspections done in all of our properties, in addition, this property rents the majority of the year with satisfied customers who have placed reviews on our website and other advertisement websites as well. The photos on the website were taken by a professional photographer and we are happy to have him email you the original photos so you can see they are the same ones in our website.

All phone calls that were received were responded to and we have records to show this.

The home you originally reserved was vacant and could not be occupied until a new ac motor was delivered, the walls and furniture were deep cleaned and until an inspection from the city was done. The owner was not going to allow anyone in the property until it was safe to do so. The smoke detectors needed to be tested and certified. We were concerned about your safety at that property therefore we made the decision to offer you other options.

Regardless of the circumstances, we offered a full refund prior to arrival, at arrival and 4 nights into your stay.

We tried our best and we offered everything that was available to us to make your vacation enjoyable. We do apologize that your vacation did not turn out as planned.

Any family who is looking to lodge with us can see the reviews from our website and other marketing websites such as homeaway, vrbo, vacationrentals.com, flipkey, tripadvisor and any other google search engine.

Thank you.
