I received several phone calls and a voice message from the phone number I listed. In a heavily accented voice they claimed an arrest warrant had been issued for me in Nebraska becuase I had borrowed money from "American Cash" and not repaid it.
I have not borrowed from American Cash (or made any payday loans) and I cannot find "American Cash" in a Google search (although they claimed to have over 900 offices.)
There is a law firm by this name in Lincoln, NE but the phone number is different (402-435-0028.) I phoned and left voice mail at the Law Offices and asked to be called back, but have not been contacted by them yet.
The phone number that showed on my caller ID was 402-608-2711 and a search for that number shows it as VOIP in Albion, NE (over 100 miles from Lincoln.)
Washington state websites show that this is a fraud and I filled a complaint with them and will contact the FTC when the government shutdown is over.
I also called the nebraska Atourney General;s office and left them information and the phone number shown on my caller ID, but they were neither helpful nor encouraging.

The lawyer that they claimed to represent phoned me back and stated that these people have noting to do with him. A complete scam and misrepresentation.

Not me, my firm or anyone associated. I've reported to authorities. I apologize for inconvenience but this is identity theft. Please let me know if I can help.
