Bedroom Superstore took my money and then filed bankruptcy No contact Info left ripoff Modesto California
In 9/27/02, my parents made a purchase for a waterbed mattress at the bedroom superstore. The company did not have the mattresss in stock but required a down payment of at least half the amount for them to order it. My parents made the down payment of $235. These people had the nerve to even give us a $20 discount on the overpriced mattress.
A few weeks went by and we didn't receive any mattress. We called many times but they would just postpone the date. Finally they stopped answering their calls and upon driving there we found out they skipped town and filed bankruptcy. We've tried calling their corporate offices but they have an answering machine with a full voicebox. Other superstores in the state have no one answering the phone. I called the company that leased the property to them and apparently the Bedroom Superstore owes them rent money and they can't contact them either.
We're hoping to get our money back. We're going to pursue all avenues possible. In the meantime, do not buy from these folks because they seem to be really dishonest. They probably knew they were going to take our money the whole way and didn't give a d**n.
