Bench Craft Company, A Division Of Transportation Media Sold me an ad for my local golf course but is switching it to golf course in another city. Internet, Oregon
Bench Craft Company contacted me by phone while I was on vacation in Branson, MO. soliciting me to buy advertising on our local golf course score cards. I am in business and make contact with numerous clients on the course, therefore I considered it a good business decision to purchase the 1 year advertisement for $395.00 This occured in October 2008 and the advertisement was to be for 2009.
The advertisement did appear on the score cards in the Spring of 2009 and very shortly thereafter I started receiving calls to renew my advertisement. I said it was much too early and refused at the time. The calls kept coming and I was finally told that if I would renew at that time, they would double the size of my ad and would make it for a 2 year period at the same price. As a bonus I was told that if I renewed at that time they would also give me a "Bench Ad" at the golf course in the adjoining city. I was informed that my ad would be good for the years 2010 and 2011.
I was contacted today, December 15, 2009, with the information that my ad for my local course was due for renewal in 2010 and that my new active advertisement for 2010 and 2011 was for the other course in the adjoining city. This is an absolute lie and absolutely not what I agreed to nor was told on the phone that I would receive. When I told them this, they hung up the phone on me. Fraud in the 1st degree !!!!
