We fell behind in our Beneficial loan payments, we contacted

Beneficial and they said we could make a "settlement payment".

Two days later they told us sorry, it's in collections. The next day they sent us a letter from a law office. They then

said we had to pay the full amount or face wage garnishment.

We asked them to allow us to put them (with our other bills)

into the Consumer Credit Management. They refused and sent us

a letter from Household Finance Corporation saying to sign off a Consent Judgement to pay them monthly payments and a letter for the court agreeing to a Consent Judgement. This letter has no case number, so if we sign it they file the consent judgement and if we don't sign it they are threatening further legal action. On top of this they have added extra charges. What should

we do?

My husband and I had a loan through beneficial and we had the easy pay they call when they take your payment right out of you checking account each month and they were not taking out the right amount and we got screwed on all these late payments that we didn't even do nothing wrong.we had our account in forclosure foe about 6 months and they would not help us do anything since it was not our fault. my brother bought the house from us because we had 20 days to look for something because it was going to sheriffs auction. Don't let them do the easy pay because it does not save you any money like they say!! And buying down your points like they say Yeah Right that doesn't work either. we had a house loan intrest rate 22% our payment on a $79,000 house was 866.00. Stay away from beneficial they will not help you at all.
