Benjamin Donley a webdesigner from www.bdproductions.org and www.customgraphicsandweb.com was paid by myself $800.00 for the design of a website on January 2nd 2008 According to his own policies a full refund will be givin if his company can not complete the project in 45 days. It has been 4 1/2 months and I still have no website and no refund. To top that off, he has threatened to take me to court for an additional $400 for filing a complaint.

This company should be shut done and taking off the internet. I have reported him to the BBB and they were no help at all. Do not use this company. He will take your money if you pay through paypal and not give you anything in exchange. Paypal does not protect buyers of digital items so I am out $800.00

A personal mission to discredit this character is not my mission. My mission is to tell as many people as I can about your illegal business practices. 4 1/2 months and my domain name is still a parked webpage with no website. That my friend is the bottom line. You have had over 2 months with our new plan, all of the content was provided by myself to you along with the direction I wanted to go with the website. I even made a sample template in photoshop and sent it to you. You failed to awnser over 10 emails I sent you asking when you thought the site might be done. FTR, I never called you. Your a scammer and because there was no contract or agreement you took full advantage of that fact and the paypal policies and laughed your way to the bank. There are hundreds of similar cases throughout this website and on google about this behavior from you webdesigners. You do this to people you deserve a bad rap imho!

I don't know either one of these people, but I do know I have seen the accused here before mentioned on webdesign discussion forums as ripping off a couple other people through paypal in the same way the OP has mentioned. Bottom line, get a contract signed by both parties to avoid these situation's.

#4REBUTTAL Owner of company

This gentleman had hired me to develop a website and paid the $800 as mentioned. Shortly thereafter, he changed the project to something completely different, and told me to "hold off" until he got organized on what he actually wanted. Then - out of the blue - he files for a refund through paypal because I didnt answer my phone when he tried calling me once. I have policies in place that say if yu file a dispute and lose, you owe another $400 if you want me to continue working. That policy is there to protect myself against frivilouse claims and having to waste my time in dealing with people trying scam others and get work done for free. Web developers have a bad reputation as it is, and rightly so, but I am an honest business/service provider and offer quality website development to good people. This client chose to not only ignore my policy, but again reverse direction on what he wanted. I told him "okay" ... "I will do it, but you have to give me more time" ... "I cannot stop what I am doing right now and start over immediately just because you change you mind ... again". He had a fit, and is now on a personal mission to discredit me and my work. Good luck to him
