I want to thank everybody who posted their reports about BH. I had an interview with them today and almost fell for their fraud. Thank God I left without signing anything and then went on the Internet to check them out!
I went through the same steps as everybody else. It's amazing how consitent they are.
The first thing that made me wonder was the application I had to fill out: they wanted to know a lot of personal stuff about me like my credit standing, my spouse's earnings, how long I could survive without a job etc. Then I was told that I would only be invited to the second interview if they "decided that they could help me". I was invited to the second interview and was incouraged to bring my spouse, which surprised me. My husband could not come, and that fact seemed to upset the VP.
Then I went through the whole "you are very marketable and you have a lot to offer but you need to work on your interviewing and negotiating skills" spill. I was also told that I was underpaid in my previous position (which I was not!).
After the fee was finally revealed to me, $5,500, the VP became increasingly pushy trying to convince me to sign up right there and then. When I said I needed to discuss this with my husband, she said something to the effect of: "He will talk you out of it. The longer you wait, the bigger the number will become. You need to make the decision NOW". The more she pressured me the more sceptical I became. She used the college analogy that others talk about in their reports.
Another thing that surprised me was that there was only one "advisor" in the office. If they are so successful and work so hard to help their clients, how can one person handle all that work?
What I suggest to people who were unfortunate to deal with BH is to call their local newpaper and refer them to this site. Hopefully, this will make them stop placing BH's ads in the paper.
