Bernard Haldane Associates Ripoff Report Saved me from wasting my time deceptive company Ft Lauderdale Florida
I received a call from this company today to schedule an interview for Monday. I gained the impression that they had some positions that I might be suitable for.
After I got over my initial excitement I began to feel that things didn't seem quite right - maybe because everything seemed too good to be true - I've learned that if things do seem too good to be true they very often are!
When I thought about it further I realised that the lady I had spoken to did not appear to have seen my Resume.
With suspicions aroused I checked out their website - very impressive but no real description of what they actually offered and no reference (that I could find) of what their services cost.
Another thing that struck me as suspicious was that the first 9 of 10 entries returned on the first page by google led to their sites. Normally I would expect to see references from other sites in the first 4 or 5 entries.
Fortunately, the final entry on the first page led here - BINGO - very interesting reading but I didn't have enough time to read all 300+ adverse reports.
Out of courtesy I called the "Consultant" with whom an interview had been scheduled to request more specific information about what their company actually offered. I was met "Well do you know who Bernard Haldane are?" - I did by now but decided to admit knowing the name but wanted to find out more. I listened to what sounded like BS and then informed the Consultant that I did not feel their services were appropriate to someone in my position and was cancelling the appointment.
This was not really well received but he ended the conversation by offering to be there if I ever wished to use their services in the future.
I finally remembered that I had completed their "on-line" assessment and that I had felt at the time that the subsequent information was likely to dishearten jobseekers. The reason seems pretty self-evident now!
Thanks Rip-Off report and everyone who has filed reports here - most of you seem to have lost substantial sums of money (very likely when you can least afford it) but you saved me for falling for the same.
