My friend had gone into a best buy without me and let them talk her into fixing her husbands computer for like 300 or 400 dollars or something. I had already told her that we just needed to get a good virus and spyware program, (this is why she was there, and she paid extra for the idiot to install this). So, it was a holiday, and I am complaining because I am the one that was there, and therefor tried to fix the situation. Mr. Chris showed up, since I was only there to meet him at the business, I had brought some movies with me. He had no problem actually WATCHING the movie with me and drinking some soda and such. He installed the virus programs. He asked me if I wanted to remove some other programs (these didn't have anything to do with the virus program), I stated it was not my computer, so if they wanted them removed I was quite capaple of doing so later. I had an inkling that something was a little off when his behavior changed, and he hightailed it out the door while I was busy with an unexpected customer. Immediately after the customer left, I went to the computer and attempted to turn it on. UMMMM, NOPE. Called them right then, Chris refused to come back, (I was certainly peeved at this because he just left less than fifteen minutes ago)because I told him not to remove a particular program? I tried to call them at least 5 times, nope, we WILL not honor our warranty in writing that does not have that as a condition. Went to the best buy, got NOWHERE. They actually kept telling me to deal with the geek squad ........ I kept a tight hold on that dang contract with BEST BUY at the top. Ended up going back to my friends shop, called 3 or 4 more times, they were actually telling ME how many times I had called at this point, back to the Best Buy store. Gave up after hours. My friends tried, no luck. Paid someone else to look at the computer. They kept calling Best Buy, Geek Squad, you name it. They refused to honor their warranty and even SEND someone out to LOOK. Poor Mr. Chris was probably very, very, scared. Turns out he had removed a vital piece of windows. Guess what, they eded up getting a new computer, since it was far less expensive than any other options. There wasn't even any fine print to validate them. It all supported us. What a CROCK. This store will never recieve a penny of anyone's money I know if I can help it. These are TRUE rip-off artists.
