PLEASE BEWARE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

I moved from Columbus, OH to Portland, OR.  At the time I was unemployed and didn't have much money.  I decided to use this company because they were the cheapest - that was my first mistake.  The sales rep was very friendly and they gave me a great quote.  They arrived 2 days after they said they would to pick up my belongings.  The two guys that loaded my stuff had brought their dog with them - and let the dog run throughout my house.  When I asked them to keep it outside they got an attitude.  They showed up at my house at 8 o'clock at night (even though they called multiple times to confirm they would be there the day before at 9:00am), worked for 2 hours and then said they would be back in the morning.  Before they left, the driver asked me where the nearest adult video store was located.  They ate food and drank beverages from my refrigerator - I would have offered it to them if they asked.

The next day, after they loaded the truck they told me that because there were more items then they thought (they said that the truck weight was more than what was quoted) that I would have to pay $2,600 more!  That was more than double my contract rate!  THEN!  They said they wouldn't unpack or give me my belongings until I paid them in cash or cashier's check.  When I made a big deal about it they said they would reweigh the truck when it arrived in Portland and I could make arrangements to be there when it is weighed to confirm.

I figured at this point that I might as well have them deliver the items (mistake number 2).  They arrived 3 days late - even though they called me multiple times to confirm the day and time of the delivery.  As I had just started a new job (hence the purpose of moving across the country) I didn't have the luxury of taking time off - so I had to coordinate the delivery to take place outside of my normal work schedule.  Needless to say, I ended up losing an entire day of work and making a bad impression with my new boss as a result.

When they arrived the new delivery men refused to reweigh the truck.  I finally gave in, just because I wanted the ordeal over with and had gone without a bed and belongings for a month!  When they unloaded the truck they did not put anything away - they threw everything into the living room and refused to disseminate it throughout the house - even though the contract required them to.

After inspecting the delivered items, I found that MANY items were broken, damaged (thousands of dollars worth of damage) and STOLEN!  My leather couch from Pottery Barn - ruined (they put packing tape directly on the leather - all over it - it was almost like they did it on purpose).  I insisted that the forms be marked to indicate what was damaged and missing and they refused to let me.  They said I would get additional documents mailed to me to file a claim.  When I eventually did submit my claim with all of the pictures (to include items that were photographed at time of packing but were never delivered) I was told they were only going to reimburse me for $135 - UNBELIEVABLE.  I had over $5,000 in broken items, missing and damaged goods.

It's been 6 months and I'm still waiting for my $135.....

I wish someone would sue this scam company and put them out of business.
