Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I opened an online account with BetUS.com on August 26, 2009 and deposited $2000. The following weekend I wagered all $2000 through their sportsbook on a UFC fight and won $1176. The following week, totally unaware, without my knowing, and for no good reason, a manager at BetUS closed my account!

The following weekend when I tried to login to my account to wager again, an error message said my account was inactive. When I asked customer service what the deal was, they said that my account had been closed and that my original $2000 was going to be refunded but that they were keeping my winnings. I asked how that is fair!? I bet my own money and won the event fair and square.

I played according to their rules and did not request a payout. BetUS arbitrarily decided on their own to close my account and keep the money I won. I talked to several managers and they just gave me the same broken record response "Sorry, our decision is final and there's nothing you can do about it." I told them I wanted the money that I earned fair and square. "Sorry, our decision is final, we're closing your account and your not getting your winnings, so quit asking." I asked "What if I take you to court over it?" They said go ahead. I asked for their company's address. They said they have NO ADDRESS! They only accept email or fax. They say they have no headquarters!

THEY ARE THEIVES!!!

BEWARE: If you win money with them, they may just arbitrarily decide to keep your winnings and close you out. Period. NO JOKE! And they'll just tell you there's nothing you can do about it. It happened to me and I am OUTRAGED!!

BetUS.com, why don't you give me the money that I won fair and square??? Why are you discrediting yourself as a respectable online merchant???

Why offshore gambling is for suckers

#2

Fri, September 11, 2009

You must know that online gambling is illegal in the U.S.    That being the case, they know that you can't sue them in a U.S. court.   If you are participating in an illegal activity, you cannot sue if you are cheated.  That's why you don't ever see drug dealers in court suing their suppliers if they get ripped off.

From the gambling site's point of view, once they have your money they can pretty much do whatever they want.  They know you have no recourse.   They also have very little incentive to be fair with you.  They know there will be other suckers coming along to deposit more money.

Basically, you're gambling with your money before you even make a bet and the odds are not in your favor.
