Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

My Ford escape engine puttered out in the beginning of July 2019 so I had ford tow it to my dealer in Morristown, Lydia called me to tell me it's too bad on me they won't cover it because they saw oil leaking and the valve was loose. The oil lights never went on, the leaking had to be very slow since the valve was only loose not completely out, and I would have seen a lot of oil which I never did see.

Also keep in mind I sent them 2 Amazon receipts for my synthetic oil being purchased once in March and another in June, I also sent them the receipts if my mechanic, they changed the oil twice in 4 months! This is evident they found something they can blame me for and won't cover their faulty engine, not only that I was under extended warranty but they won't honor it saying I was neglectful, you tell me I changed my oil in March 2019 and then in June 2019 engine goes in July 2019 and I'm neglectful? Or is this a faulty engine??

Oil changes

Most people would think 45k miles is fairly new, this us a 2017 we are talking about. Oil changes were done religiously about every 3 months or about 3k miles since the car was purchased. Neither the Mechanic nor I ever saw oil leaking at anytime, I'm assuming it just became loose in my final drive and it dropped, assuming this valve was loose since my June maintenance, don't you think my March oil change should have kept the engine in good condition still? If you work for Ford or other car related businesses, please make sure to mention this.

I check the dip stick all the time, it showed oil was in there. If you work for Ford or other car related businesses, please make sure to mention this.

With 45K miles on your engine this is not a brand new vehicle, so what about the service history BEFORE these two oil changes? You could change the oil daily in the last 4 months, but if that was the first oil change in the last 25K miles....they aren't going to cover it. Do you have equally detailed records for all of your other oil changes and maintenence?

Your other issue is the reason. They stated that the valve was loose. If that was the case, then it could be possible that your mechanic failed to tighten the valve causing the leak. Which would make your mechanic liable. Did your mechanic mention anything like an oil leak the last two times you took it to them?

How many times have you checked the oil with the dipstick?
