I have purchased photographic equipment for many years from B&H. My most recent purchase was an external hard drive for my PC. I have never had a problem with this company. I have even, on a couple of occassions, called and changed my order with no hassle whatsoever.

I recently purchased a Canon EOS Rebel XSi digital camera and a Canon Vixia HG21 camcorder from B&H. The salesman was extremely helpful, and even called me back after the order to let me know of some available Canon rebates. The service was excellent.
I have purchased from B&H in the past, and my experience has always been very good. However, I have never placed Special Orders.

I have used a number of online A/V dealers. My experience with B&H was very positive. When one of their employees called to verify my order, I got very worried. Most times these calls are high-pressure sales pitches for extended warranties and over-priced accessories (and if you don't bite, the product you ordered becomes suddenly out-of-stock forever). With B&H however, as soon as I acknowledged placing the order, the employee thanked me and told me that the order was being filled. Three days later the product was in my hands.

B&H regrets John's dissatisfaction. The product he ordered is listed on our website with this notice: "mportant Notice! This is not a regular stocked item and cannot be canceled, returned or exchanged." The same notice was there when he ordered. At the time he ordered there was also a notice about the product's availability. Then it was not in stock. Now it is. We're sorry John was impatient but we're pleased to report that John received a full refund and the Sirius Satellite Radio Tuner for Sony Receiver he wanted is readily available from B&H at this time.
