As a professional in the video business I decided I would buy from the "professional" B&H store even though I could have bought the camera I wanted at another company for $300 less. I did so because I wanted guaranteed customer service. To make a long story short I bought a video camera, a monitor and a bundled software program. The bundled software was Vegas Pro which I could have upgraded from the one I had for only $150, on the bundle it was only $100 so I went ahead and got it thinking I was saving $50 - what a joke!

The total invoice price was $2,957.95. I paid around $2,500 with shipping. So I received the camera and the monitor and believe it or not BOTH items were faulty, the camera's mic didn't work and the monitor that was supposed to mount onto the camera kept flopping over because the ball joint wouldn't stay stiff. So I send them both back and they offer me a refund of $1,750, I say WHAT? You have to be kidding. They want to charge me for the software TWICE! And of course they won't take the software back because I opened it.

So they charge me once on the deduction and then again on my refund. I went around and around in circles on the phone with customer service for over and hour and their final word, in a very polite manner was, So sorry it has ended this way Mam, but that's the way it is. What recourse do I have now? I intend to go to the small claims court, tell EVERYONE I know and place this complaint up here on the internet and of course I will NEVER buy another item from B&H photo! Buyer beware, think twice before you spend more money then you have to at B&H because of their great service!
