The AKC should be willing to help track this person down especially if she is advertising pure breds that are actually mixes. Contact the District Attorney's office in the state/county the seller was in when she sold you the puppy. Ask them if they will investigate the person for fraud. Forward copies of any information you have from this person as proof that she was selling you a pure bred dog. On the bright side you are lucky. The puppy survived being freight cargo on an airline. A lot of them don't make it. Before you "breed" any dog, purebred or otherwise, check your local shelters and see how many abandoned dogs of the dog you wish to breed exist. You might change your mind.
