I will never use Birch comm ever again. They are very dishonest and they know what they are doing. I was a customer for 3 years with them for internet and phone services. At the end of contract I contacted Birch and told them I will be transfering to another provider due to how slow their internet was. I was told I needed to fax in written request to cancel contract. So I did exactly what they required. The next month I continue to get bill from them for service. I called them up and ask why I am still getting bill. They claimed since contract ended it automatically renewed itself for another 3 years. I told them I had faxed in a letter requesting to terminate service. They claim they never got the fax. And if I want to cancel I will have to pay fee of $2500. I told them fine. I will pay it. And then next month I got another bill for $600. I then call again asking why. They now said is for equipment I never returned to them. I told them to come and get there equipment in the begining but no one came and now they want to charge me for out dated equipment. That is no way to do business. Very dishonest. Apparently they had done this before many time and gets away with it.

If, after reading it, you find they violated it's terms, sue them in small claims court. If, as I suspect they DID follow it's terms, suck it up and use it as a hard lesson learned.
