What was an extremely unfortunate and sad event has become even more so by the infactual listing that Michele has posted here so angrily. After the neuter surgery, the patient was discharged with his own leash and collar. The collar placed on him was the same collar he came in with. Shortly after leaving the building, there were screams in the parking lot and the staff found Michelle crying that her dog had gotten loose and ran across the highway. The staff of the animal hospital (4) left the hospital to try and help retrieve the pet. The police and animal control were also called for assistance. Tragically the dog was found dead by the side of the road. Devastated, two staff members went with a stretcher to retrieve the body and brought it back to the hospital. The owners were not charged for a private cremation. Additionally they were immediately refunded for the neuter surgery. The staff also made a clay paw for the owner, (a clay imprint of the pet's paw as a remembrance) as an additional display of sympathy. This incident was a tragic accident and in no way due to negligence of the hospital or the hospital staff. The staff of Black Horse Pike animal hospital is incredibly dedicated, passionate and above all professional. It is important to note that this posting is based on anger and sadness and not fact.
