Corona del Mar,#2REBUTTAL Owner of company

The party who wrote this complaint is unknown to us, but many of his "facts" are just plain wrong. First, Art Lusby is our representative, not the owner. Second, his anger should be directed at Compass Internet Systems, which was a company we consulted for five years. Compass refused our advice, handled all money matters, was responsible for all guarantees, and was owned by R. Sean Hogan, of Orinda CA. Hogan closed the company without warning in March of 2011; leaving clients and us owed hundreds of thousands of dollars. 18 Months later, he and his wife declared personal bankruptcy.
Blackwater made the decision to continue providing the services Compass had promised but to do so in spec with our previously ignored recommendations to Compass. We discontinued 30 day trial subscriptions. We attempted to contact all Compass clients, without success as we were shut out of our own CRM tool by Mr. Hogan. We ended up with about 30% of the clients, as Compass shut off our access to the database, our offices, and all monies collected or owed.
Thus, all I can say is that this complaint is Compass generated; we have a policy of working with our clients and solving their problems, if they have any. Our leads are not all great ones, but a high percentage of them are good ones. Also, no lead is worth spit if not properly followed up on, and although we provide training materials on how to do those things, many people choose not to follow that advice. It's unavoidable: some people do fail, but most of those who do do not follow up as assiduously as necessary; those most successful do as we recommend.
We have many happy customers and would welcome your inquiry should you have further information or questions. We are sorry for any bad experiences people may have had with previous management and do our best to respect and service our clients properly. We have many supporters.
