I purchased a membership on 1/12/2015 via the internet/website.  By that weekend, when I went to work out, the club was locked down and doors CLOSED with a notice from the LandLord stating that they were locked out for not paying their rent. DATED 1/9/2015.  Several days later, they re-opened and when I asked the employee what happened ( being a new member, I felt I had every right to be concerned ) I was advised that it was no big deal and that everything was resolved with the LandLord and that they were operating as usual.  I have been back 3 times over the past week and the gym was closed down yet again.  The notice states, the building is being foreclosed on.  Today, the doors were unlocked and there was a Gold\'s Gym at Hwy 6 and Clay honoring the Blast Membership and this Blast Center is officially CLOSED for good.\r\nThe Gold\'s gym is between 9 and 11 minutes further away than the Blast Gym was according to Mapquest.com\r\nBarker Cypress Rd 5.71 miles\r\n10 mins  /  11 mins based on current traffic\r\nHighway 6 N 6.52 miles\r\n9 mins  /  9 mins based on current traffic\r\nI was advised to cancel the membership by the desk clerk who provided me with a sticky note with \r\n888 827 9262 and an account number of 035906757 hand written on it.\r\nI called and spoke to Marisol.  I was on this call for a total of 33 minutes.\r\nShe put me on several holds during this time and came back to inform me that she is going to charge me a cancellation fee of $ 54.00.  \r\nSo, I paid 23.00 to start my membership on 1/12/2015 ( I am still within my first 30 days of my membership as of today ), they then charged me another $23.00 auto debit ACH withdrawal from my account on 1/22/2015 for the next months fees for their 30 days cancellation requirements.  NOW she is telling me that not only do I have to give them my additional $23.00 for February\'s dues ( EVEN though they do not have a facility for me to work out in my area now and I will not be able to utilize their membership for the next 30 days which I have already paid for ) but now I am paying ANOTHER $ 54.00 FEE even though they did not pay their rent on their building and they got evicted due to non payment.\r\nSince, this, I have looked online and have found HUNDREDS of other locations nationwide who have done this very exact thing to their members repeatedly in city to city to city.  I believe this company is running a SCAM.  They open a fitness club and establish a clientel and then get everyones bank info.  Then once they hit a certain amount of members or a certain time frame, they CLOSE their doors at that location and KEEP everyone\'s money and from what I see, continue charging for memberships to facilities that do not exist.  Please HELP.
