How long was a timely fashion? If it was longer in a month (I know to most people it's untimely to return them after so long, but you never know), then they're sitting in a drawer at the Blockbuster somewhere. Ask them to check the drawer for you anyway. The items in the drawer are called autosales. When you returned them, were the labels intact on the front of the box? Ask them to check their items that were returned missing labels. You could also ask for the copy numbers and go look for them yourself on the shelf. Copy numbers are the last 3 digits of the long line of numbers above the barcode. From my experience, it's rare that we lose a movie at the store. I'm sure it's happens, but most of the time it's at the fault of the customer...forgetfulness, asked someone else to return them, they fell under the seat of the car. We're all human, we make mistakes. But if you're 100% you returned them with the label on them, in the dropbox, within a month of the due date, call the store manager or ask for a regional office phone number (if the store is corporate. If they're franchise ask the SM who is above her/him.) I'm not trying to insult, just to inform, but since I've worked for BBV forever I've seen just about everything.
