I had heard that Mr. Maples was having some financial difficulties, also. You see, I would know this firsthand since some property he was leasing borders my family's property. From what I'm told, he only thing that Mr. Maples owns in Townsend now is his hotel. The general assumption in Townsend is that he has filed for bankruptcy. I don't know whether this is true or not but I do know that Maples is an a*****e from Sevierville. May I suggest that you file your own ripoff report concerning the comments that you have a problem with. This thread is strictly for blowing the whistle on our local criminals on the county commission. As for an apology, you won't get anything from me but a hard time.

I am writing in response to Quincy's statement dated October 2004 that Rick Maples has filed bankruptcy. This is certainly incorrect information and defamation of character. There are other Maples in Townsend and I am strongly requesting an apology and response.

Actually what has happened with the wheel tax is that it has been voted down. I'm sure the citizens in this county threatened all the commisioners within an inch of their lives if this was passed. I hope they are able to pass something to tax the s**t out of these crooked developers in this area. I also think they need a tax to put on people who move here from out of state for the first five years of there residency. They do it everywhere else in this country. That seems to be the excuse these politicians give for changing everything anyways. There are definitely some real crooks on the Blount County Commission and in my opinion, developers should not be allowed to serve on this commission. Especially people like Bob Kidd, Rick Rugsby and most definitely Beverley Woodruff. I can say that because I voted for her. I thought she was a good person. I know better now. She just can't handle this job. Where's all the employment you were going to bring to Blount County, Beverly?

I have done the math and the numbers are in. One out of every 9 homes that Bob Kidd and the Shores (Ed, Brad and crackhead Rod) have built end up in some sort of lawsuit because the homes were not built correctly. That's what happens when all the subcontracters use illegal mexicans as their laborers. Since Bob Kidd and the Shores have set their business up as a LLC, nothing ever really gets resolved in court. This is no the type of business that should exist but it does. Part of the problem is the fact that we have no building codes in the county. Beverly should see to a building codes board before she starts worrying about developers being on the county commission. I have to agree with Tom on the whole wheel tax thing. If Bob Kidd has his way, the whole commission will be developers and not a penny of that wheel tax money will go to schools. The whole county is outraged that they did not at least have an opportunity to vote on the issue. People like Bob Kidd and Rigsby are the people who should be paying for ALL of the new infrastructure. Afterall, crooked businessmen like them are the ones who created the problems, not the taxpayers of this county and definitely not the people whohave lived her all their lives. Something wicked is going on with the current Beverly Woodruff administration and the county commission. Beverly, we all feel sorry for you and your sickness. We just think that it is time for you to either have some morals or step down from your post. You are not representing the people at this point.

Bob Kidd is a crook. He is in business with the Shore's who are also a bunch of crooks. Bob Kidd is also part of the planning commission. How can we let some one like him who is a developer serve on the planning commission? Bob Kidd is the reason that we don't have any building codes in this county. If we were ever to get some codes established, people like Bob Kidd and Ed Shore could no longer build homes. They wouldn't be able to build houses to safe specs. How can Beverly Woodruff let this kind of crap continue to go on? She's obviously turned into a crook also. We need better representation in our county. I know plenty of people who could do a better job than Beverley Woodruff or Bob Kidd. These people are eventually going to burn in hell with people like Ed, Rod and Brad Shore. Rod is a crack-head by the way. Should he really be building homes for people. Nobody from Blount County would let these Jackasses build their home. The only business they get is from people who are just moving here. That's why they end up in so many lawsuits. They don't know what they're doing. These are the people that Bob Kidd is partners with. What a JOKE! Our local government has turned into a bunch of CLOWNS!

Here's the list: 1)Pat McGill from Reality Executive Associates. Recently recommended by Woodruff for a county Planning Commission seat. Is also the agent selling Beverley's home. 2)Gene Brown- Chairman on Planning Commission and Realitor. 4)Vance Burkey- Owner of Reality Executive Associates. 5)Barney Thompson- Vice President of the Knoxville Area Realor Association. 6)Peggy Lambert- Republican Party. 7)Tom Hodge- Developer. 8)Ed Shore- Developer 9)Rod and Brad Shore- Developers 10)Joe Everett- Builder. 11)Rick Rigsby- A developer who has been rumored to have offered Beverley Woodruff property in exchange for her support. 12)Bob Kidd- Developer and Criminal. Bob is not an honest man and doesn't have a real good reputation in our county. They call him "HOP." 13) Darrell Tipton- Developer and Planning Commission. 14) Ed Stuckey- Realtor and Planning Commission. Also wants to allow steeper roads to be built on mountainsides so that they can destroy our beautiful in Blount County. 15) Steven Vananda- All-around jackass and owner of Tuckaleechee Caverns, business owner in Townsend, Developer (but on a small scale). 16)Hickory Construction 17) Gil Heinsohn- Laurel Valley Developer who has been sued by everybody that he has done business with. Friend of Steven Vananda. 18)Rick Maples- developer in Townsend. Friend of Don Sundquist. Just recently went bankrupt. 19)The Garners- a well established 3rd generation Maryville Family who owns everything. 20) Former Gov. Don Sundquist- Last but definitely not least. Everybody with whom he worked has either been convicted of a felony or is currently being investigated by the FBI. Ram-rodded the road through Townsend even though 73% of the people voted against it. Tried to push for an income tax and about got the Capitol building tore down because of his secret meetings. I guess Beverley learned from the best crook in the state of Tennessee. How did we let this happen in our county? How did Beverley Woodruff get elected? These people are supposed to be upstanding but if they were, they would immediately step down from the planning commission cited a "Conflict of Interest." These are the same people who are in church every Sunday. What joke! How hypocritical can they be? It doesn't get any worse than this. All of these people listed here should immediately be run out of office and brought up on criminal charges along with Beverley's sorry self. Just so you know: Beverley Woodruff stays in a camper during the warmer months at Lazy Daze Campground in Townsend, TN. You should stop by and pay her a visit. Her main residence is at 354 Vernie Lee Rd. in Friendsville.

I am writing in response to the builders, real estate agents and other undesirables on the Blount County Planning Commission. If any of these people had a conscience they would realize that it is a conflict of interest for them to serve on our planning commission. This has gone on for too long and with Beverley Woodruff's current decision to place more developers on this board I feel compelled to write and voice my disgust with not only with her but the criminals she has appointed. We are currently having a debate over a "wheel tax" which will go to pay for schools, roads, etc. Most of this was brought on by overzealous building practices of the no-good developers in our area. They would build without first having needed infrastructure in place. It is my opinion that the developers need to be the ones who pay for the infrastructure, not the citizens of Blount County. As long as these criminals hold positions in local government then this "developer tax" will never happen. Once again my family and others will be left footing the bill so these assholes can destrot our community with subdivisions. Beverley Woodruff is the ring leader in this underhanded deal. Obviously she cares more about getting money and land under the table than she does about representing the people. A 100 years ago, she would have hung for what she has done. It's gotten to the point that these hollier than thou Republicans do stuff like this right under our noses. Beverley Woodruff, you need to step down from your post before someone in this county does it for you. You are a disgrace your office and I will never vote Republican again because of you. It's people like you and Don Sundquist who give the Republican party a bad name. Beverley Woodruff's politics are the reason that there are no more mom and pop run businesses in Blounty County. A handful of rich bastards are the ones who own everything from liquor stores to construction companies to lodges for the tourists. I for one am sick of reading about Beverley Woodruff and how she caters to the developers. Her husband Phil is a moron too.

This is typical of our local Republicans. I used to vote for a lot of Republicans but Don Sundquist, Mike Flynn, Beverly Woodruff and Peggy Lambert have made me weary of trusting the GOP anymore. The only honest Republicans we have anymore is Sheriff "Jimbo" Berrong and Congressman Duncan. Hell, I even became an Independent because of the way our local Republicans act anymore. I think its time for Beverly Woodruff to step down before she falls flat on her face. Racketeering is still a crime. Just look what happened to Martha Stewart.
