Last weeks Daily Times Paper (or The Thin-Sheets as I call it) had a front page article concerning a high speed chase which took place in this county.

The article only quoted the actual officers involved and not any witnesses to the rogue activity of the Blount County Sheriffs Dept.

That same night, one of our local TV channels ran a story and the actual video of the incident.

Needless to say, the video evidence completely contradicted the Sheriffs Dept.

What most people saw on the video was a bunch of half-cocked idiots nearly causing a catastrophic accident and property damge.

Out of the four police cars that were wrecked by their drivers and not the actual person they were after, 3 did not have on their emergency lights which is directly against fedral and state law.

Somebody needs to tell the sheriff's dept that you can't ram someone in the rear and then say that they backed into you. They need to also be told that when two police vehicles collide because of poor driving skills and stupidity, you can't blame that on the assailant either.

I used to have a lot of respect for Sheriff James "Jimbo" Berrong but have quickly come to the conclusion lately that he is not the man that I thought he was. Afterall, his mother IS a Lambert and everbody in this county knows what kind of narcissistic cowards they are.

This sin't the first instance in which I have seen extremely bad driving from the sheriff's department.

Last year I filed a complaint against a punk pig named Matt Thompson who thought he was allowed to tail-gate.

Two days ago, I saw a black BCSO car make a U-turn on Sam Houston Road with no signal or emergency lights.

About 3 weeks ago, I was passed by a BCSO on 321 who was traveling at a high rate of speed. From the video I made, I concluded that he was traveling at 80-85 mph. He had no emergency lights on and this road is a 50mph. This same officer also changed lanes three times in a third of a mile of road with no turn signals and tailgated everybody in front of him until he got out of sight.

These guys just recieved a wage increase by the way. I guess the county commission got tired of hearing these morons cry and whine about "...poutting their lives on the line." BULLSHIT!

Cops aren't even in the top ten of hazardous jobs. Pizza delivery drivers and cabbies are ahead of the police and they don't get to do their job in a bullet proof vest while carrying a side arm.

I guess I should sum this up at this point with a few rhetorical questions.

What good is a sheriff's departmnent with no accountability?

What good is a sheriff's department that refuses to live by the laws that they are sworn to uphold?

What good is a sheriff that will not give a legitimate answer as to why there are 30 some odd cars missing from the department?

The whole missing car thing has been going on for sometime. Jerry CUnnigham, the county mayor, just keeps right on standing up for his boy Jimbo even though this is not his duty underlined in the county charter.

I'm telling you folks, Blount County is more corrupt than it has ever been before.

And that corruptness runs right through the Blount County Sheriff's Office and the LAMBERT family of Blount County.

The BCSO should remember that VIDEO NEVER LIES.

My brother used to work for the BCSO. He quit because he could not stand to see what law enforcement was really like in Blount County. He often questioned whether some of his fellow officers graduated from high school. He said that it was like being around a bunch of 16 year old boys in a locker room somewhere. He also said that they really put the squad cars through their paces. One time he showed me a video he had made of one of Blount County's finest burning out in a taxpayer funded squad car until both of the rear tires exploded. The funniest part was when he actually stopped and a scattered volume of rebel yells could be heard. How this didn't make youtube I don't know. I also heard him talk about how they al used to believe that they could drive however they wanted. He said that some fo them would follow people with their lights off. I am glad that I do not live in Maryville or Blount County.

I eat dinner with my grandmother every Saturday like clock work. Last saturday, while traveling to her house, I was nearly side swiped by a Blount County patrol car. Not the black one. It was the regular cars. I don't think it was missing from the rolls but it could have been knowing our Sheriff and his habits for doling out cars to the "connected" citizenry of Blount county. This officer was obviously in pursuit of something but had absolutely no lights or siren on to warn other motorists as outline in state law. Upon passing me, the officer "whipped" over real fast into the other lane. In the process, he didn't realize that his car hadn't completely gotten past me yet. If I hadn't slammed on the brakes, there would have been a major pile up on 321. I'm not the only person that this idiot nearly killed. I decided to follow this idiot to see where he was going. Seems he was actually headed to Krogers, in plain clothes, to buy some groceries which he loaded into the back seat of the patrol car. There's nothing GOOD about what this officer did. He actually broke the law in several instances and all the while wasting tax payer's money. This is Sheriff James Berrong at his best. Just more criminality from the BCSO. I wish I had had a video camera.

Once again I was reminded of the "professionalism" of the BCSO last Thursday. While returning from Knoxville on Old Knoxville Pike, an unmarked BCSO car nearly caused a major accident. The BCSO car was traveling North and i was traveling South. He decided to turn directly in front of me with no signal. I had to lock my tires down again to keep from plowing into this moron. After turning into the bank, I noticed he went to the ATM machine. I hope his withdrawal was worth putting the general public at risk. From now on, I'm going to start running video all the time while I'm driving so that I will be able to document the behavior of Sheriff James Leon Berrong's so-called "professional, well-trained" officers. I will then post their full name, department, rank and patrol car number on this thread. If anyone wants to dispute my claims, then I will have video evidence. You would think that filing a complaint would fix the problem, but you have to remember that we are dealing with an accountability problem within the BCSO. I also need to mention how the DAILY TIMES and the BCSO took full credit for catching a robbery suspect. WRONG! Video and eyewitnesses caught the perpetrator. NOT THE BCSO! Today, I heard on the radio that there was some sort of hostage situation on Lively Rd. near the airport. I'm anxious to see how this situation is handled and how the BCSO "pats itself on the back" for doing nothing.

Jerry Cunningham is the Larry Craig of Blount County. There's no way this guy isn't q***r. I can see it now, headlined in the THIN SHEETS: County Mayor busted in a sting operation at the public bathroom in the greenbelt. Honestly, if folks could only see the kind of deviants and liars in the Blount County Republican Party, they wouldn't want to move here. You should see our DA's office. They suck, too....literally!
