I was watching television on April 24, 2005, and came across an advertisement for Blue Hippo Computer Funding. I called and they told me about a promotion for a Gateway computer with a free 3-in-1 printer, and digital camera for a down payment of $99 ($124 if you want a bundle of software), and $48.01 to be deducted from my checking account every other week thereafter. Well, something just told me to look their company up on the internet. To my surprise, they were as fraudulent as ever. There were so many complaints about them, even reported by the Better Business Bureau. After finding out this information, I decided to cancel my order. My account wasn't due to be drafted until May 6, 2005. They told me that they would cancel my order, but it would take 15 days to stop the electronic transfer from taking money from my account.

By then, they would have taken about $170 from me which would've been non-refundable, even though I cancelled before I received any paperwork, or signed anything. That's a total rip off because they were given a weeks notice of the cancellation, so why would they take money from someone whom they know don't want to participate in their offer. Lucky for me, I was able to close my checking account before they could draft anything. Beware my fellow people!!!! Run when you see or hear anything regarding Blue Hippo Funding.

I'm sorry, but Stacy (from Baltimore, MD), you are working for a CORRUPT company. Currently Blue Hippo Funding, LLC is facing a SERIOUS CLASS-ACTION LAWSUIT as of March 2006. The computer that they tout as "brand new, brand name" computer is OUTDATED and is LAST YEAR'S model. Based on the specifications of the computer from their website at http://www.bluehippo.com/orderNow2.asp, the computers are worth about $250 INCLUDING everything that comes with it!! I've built 4 computers in the last 4 years, and I haven't even spent over $1000 on ALL OF THEM COMBINED! It's a SCAM. ALL customers do NOT understand how the program works, REGARDLESS of the script that you're reading, Stacy. By the time a customer pays for the "activation fee" (which is BOGUS in and of itself; the computer doesn't need to be "activated" in order to work) and pays for ONLY 1 1/2 MONTHS, they could have gotten themselves a BRAND NEW Dell, HP, or Compaq computer shipped directly to their door within 3-5 business DAYS, instead of waiting 4-6 MONTHS. Not only that, but customers could have purchased AT LEAST 4 BRAND NEW COMPUTERS by the time they have finished paying for their OUTDATED 2003 computer. STAY AWAY from Blue Hippo computers!! If you have ordered a computer system from them, see if you can file in with the class action lawsuit!

Full Disclosure - no matter what flim-flam they tell you, you are trying to strong arm people out of their hard earned money, and you know it's wrong!

If the company is so reputable, why no refund when they do not provide a service? Why not tell the consumer this on the phone? Why so many complaints with the BBB that are unresolved? Why did your former CEO leave when it got to hot from all the complaints? You do not offer any time to cancel the agreement, which has to be given, just like a car dealership or any other contract you have a legal amount of time to cancel without incurring any fees or charges. Fortunately, in our state verbal agreements are non-existent. Written agreements you have 72 business hours. To cancel, which I did but had to file a complaint with the district attorney and BBB to get my money back. Everyone needs to work! How can you live with yourself when you know what your doing is wrong, no matter what flim-flam they tell you, you are trying to strong arm people out of their hard earned money, and you know it's wrong!

I currently work for Blue Hippo Funding and have for a while, we are a specialty financing company that specializes in helping bad credit or no credit individuals finance brand new computers. ALL CUSTOMERS KNOW AND UNDERSTAND HOW OUR PROGRAME WORKS WE HAVE A SCRIPT WE ARE TO FOLLOW THAT TELLS PRICES, PRODUCTS DETAILS, AND AGREEMENTS OF THE PROGRAM. THIS IS HOW IT IS: CUSTOMERS CALL IN WHEN THEY HEAR COMMERCIAL ON RADIO OR TV, ALL COMPUTERS START AT 35.99 PER WEEK THEN 41.98 PER WEEK FOR UPGRADED COMPUTER AND 2 FREE GIFTS, AND FINAL PACKAGE IS 49.98 PER WEEK FOR UPGRADE PACK 2. ALL CUSTOMERS WILL PAY WEEKLY PAYMENT FOR 52 WEEKS. THE INITIAL PAYMENTS RUNS FROM 99 - 154 DEPENDING ON WHAT YOU CHOOSE THAT DOES NOT COUNT AS ONE OF THE 52 WEEKLY PAYMENTS. THE AGREEMENT FOR RECIEVING THE COMPUTER IS SINCE WE DO NOT PERFORM A CREDIT CHECK WE REQUIRE YOUR DOWN PAYMENT AND 4 CONSECUTIVE WEEKLY PAYMENTS AND SHIPPING VERIFICATION PAPERS SIGNED AND MAILED/FAXED BACK BEFORE COMPUTER IS SENT OFF. IF YOU MISS 1 OF THE 4 FIRST WEEKLY PAYMENTS THE PROCESS STARTS OVER EVEN IF IT'S THE 4TH PAYMENT MISSED, TO ANOTHER 4 CONSECUTIVE PAYMENTS, KEYWORD IS CONSECUTIVE. ALL CUSTOMERS ARE READ VERBAL AGREEMENT AT FINAL STAGE IN ORDERING PROCCES TO WHICH THEY SAY "OKAY" TO AGREE AND IT IS RECORDED, SO IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING BAD THINGS AND YOU FOLLOWED ALL THE THINGS I LISTED ABOVE THEN YES YOU HAVE A PROBLEM IF NOT LISTEN CAREFULLY WHEN YOU ORDER SOMETHING!!!!!
