Blue Thunder Towing Rip-off, Chicago Illinois
I was involved in a hit & run accident. I had to be taken to the hospital immediately after. I did not request that Blue Thunder Towing pick up my vehicle, and didn't know they had it until they called me.
The owner told me that it would be $150.00 for the tow, and $50.00 a day for storage. Not once did he mention Administration fees, or Labor and Pick up fees. He tacked all that on once I got ready to have the vehicle removed from his garage. Whiched totaled out to $525.00.
He was very dishonest and misleading. They should be put out of business, because they are obviously out to prey upon innocent people that end up in situations like mine.

Police Contracts go through your insurance company to recover some of your costs

Did you think the police were going to let it sit on the side of the road???? The police department has contracts with tow companies in the area for that specific reason. My advise is to go through your insurance company to recover some of your costs, since you were in an accident.
