Blue Whale Publications Blue Whale Publications, Inc scum company, which in tricky and misleading way sells you a useless contract, from which you cannot refuse then Pompano Beach Florida
On the May, 12, 2008 I came back from my qualifying exam a 5-hour long exhaustive intellectual marathon, the hardest in my life. Half-dead I sat down to prepare myself for the other qualifying exam, which was scheduled for the next day. In the midst of my insane efforts, I received a call from that company Blue Whale Publishers. A cheerful lady on the phone was saying something about a "free gift", which I will receive if I subscribe for some journals. Plus the subscription was, of course, also offered with a "huge discount". I understood less and less from what they were talking the lady was then "supported" by two gentlemen.
The moment I remembered myself was when the man asked me to say "Yes" and that the contract is "changeable but not cancellable". I said "No. I don't want that", and then it started. Another half an hour of a much less pleasing "chat", rather a brutal stating that I already agreed, and that I just needed to repeat it now. I was weak, and I said "Yes".
In a few weeks, after I came back from my trips abroad, and took a sober look at what I have done that evening, I obviously wanted to cancel this absurd contract why paying for the journals, which I would never read in my life? But after calling them and asking them for cancellation I realized this company, Blue Whale Publishers, they make money not on delivering journals to the houses of their subscribers. They make money on those like me. Those, who want to get rid of their scum.
They wanted me to pay 660$ to get rid of their contract almost 60% of it's price! And they already charged me that amount even though I did not agree for that. So, I paid 660$ absolutely for NOTHING! What a nice way for a "respectable" company to increase profits!
Well, I became less surprised when I finally googled this company. The Google query "Blue Whale Publishers" gives you only two types of links. First is about blue whale, and how big they are. The second type are hundreds of rip-off reports, scum-alerts and complaints about that company no website of that company, not even a one positive comment!
One guy, apparently former employee of that company, wrote in one of the comments, that they have about 30 workers sitting on the phone and being required to "catch" at least two gullible as I am - "clients" for their gorgeous contract. This is only one firm, making fake earnings at a rate of 60 contracts per hour. Judging from the comments in the Internet, there are many of such firms operating in different states.
From here follows a question: Why doesn't the firm provide such services for which I do want to pay? Why can't I easily withdraw from the services which I do not need? And why instead of paying for the services I have to pay just to get rid of somebody annoying me?!
But the last question is: Why do such scum firms, who do nothing except fooling people, still exist in this economy? Why does the government remain inactive in this obvious violation of our consumer rights?
I will gladly assist anyone, who will file a lawsuit against these scumbags. Depending on the development of my story I may do it myself. As of now, I will be grateful for any advise on how to teach these "new era" businessmen a lesson.

I gave a rebuttal to Jose in reference to Blue Whale Publications, (which should be known in the future as "Beached Whale Publications." I advised him to to file complaints with the Better Business Bureau of Southeast Florida. This is where Blue Whale is located (Ft. Lauderdale). I know they are getting more complaints due to getting this information out. It is better to go through their website, as it is easy and painless to complete. Be sure in your "solution request" you demand the account closed and to stop billing and calling. Also request a reimbursemet of your pay out. You should stick it to them as much as possible. Threaten legal action because they think victims will not pay attorney fees etc. Call their bluff!!!! Also file a complaint with your respective state's BBB (Better Business Bureau), too. It was also suggested by another rebuttal in Jose's complaint to contact the three major credit reporting agencies. Advise them of the fraud alert. Close those accoubts as well. Also file complaints with the Forida State Attorney Generals Office as well as your own State Attorney Generals Office. You should also request this account closed in writing when you file with the BBB. Remember most of all, never give information over the phone to anyone, regardless, because if they are doing business over the phone they will most likely be a scam artist company. Criminals, which they are, prey upon those they believe will not fight back and refuse to pay(in this case). To bring them down, you have to think like them. I hope this will help. From other people I have spoke to about this company, said it has worked, but in some cases they have lost the money though. If you receive any bills from another alleged publication company, immediately report it and do not pay them. This is their M.O. (method of operation.) They simply wait for the money not you to defend yourself. Keep all cancelled checks, statements etc. to make 2 copies and send with your complaint to the appropriate agencies requesting that information. After hearing about this company, also Nadia Media too, it is irritating that they trhive on this and think they will get away with it. And check the website for class action lawyers, there is one in Chicago, but they will want atleast 200 people for the suit. Good luck.
