Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
On 8/1/07 a sales person "Kit Tuck" came to my home to sell me a pool. After 4.5 hours I impulsively signed the contract of which I had 3 days to cancel. After thinking it over, I decided that I did indeed need to cancel this contract. I began the process of trying to find out exactly how to cancel this contract. I called Blue World Pools and after being on the phone for 1.5 hours, being transferred from one person to another, each telling me that they could not take the cancellation information over the phone and that they would have someone call me back. No one ever called me back.

On Saturday (the final day to cancel the contract) I spoke with Alan Schoenker at Blue World Pools, he rudely informed me that he could not tell me how to cancel the contract and that I needed to read my contract front and back.

Distraught after this conversation, I called the hotel where my sales person "Kit Tuck" was staying and spoke with her. She tried to persuade me keep the pool, but if I decided not to that I could fax the cancellation into Blue World Pools by midnight. I told her that I could not find the fax number on the contract. She informed me that the fax number was on the back of the folder that she left in my home. I went to Office Depot and faxed in the cancellation at 8:24pm on 8/4/07. I was then contacted by Blue World Pools informing me that I could not cancel the contract by fax per the contract, that only telegrams or cancellations in writing were accepted.

I was then called by the financing department informing me that I had indeed been approved for financing, that the finance company had not only financed me, but they lowered my interest rate, upgraded me to a 52" pool (instead of the 48") pool, added 75.00 worth of products, and added an 8day, 7 night vacation package...a $10,000.00 value all for the low price of $5,000.00 added to the sales price of the pool. Now this $9000.00 pool is going to cost me $14,000.00...and this does not include the finance charges. I was also told that I COULD NOT REFUSE THIS UPGRADE OR THE ENTIRE CONTRACT WOULD BE VOIDED AND I WOULD THEN OWE 50% OF 9000.00.

I had an attorney send a letter to Blue World Pools on my behalf to no avail. I was called by Alan Schoenker on 8/30/07 "to set up the installation date" of the pool. I asked if he had received the letter from my attorney, of which he said he had not. I gave him her phone number. He told me that he would proceed with filing the lien on my home. I said he could not file a lien on my home and he said "who is going to stop me?

I have spoken with someone at the BBB that told me there had been 80 complaints against them over the past 36months, of which 64 had been over the last 12 months.

All I want is to be free of Blue World Pools, without owing them any money. I do not want the pool and would never purchase anything from them after the way I have been treated. I am even willing to forfeit my deposit of $200.00 if Blue World Pools, Inc. would cancel my contract with no fee or penalty.

Is there anyone that can help me?

they have never sold the 299 pool because the rules they set up makes it impossible to buy hence thats the bait, the others are ALLso called SHOW POOLS that constitutes a discount on a pool you can buy for less than 5000 and they start at 18000 but try to switch to payment closes. I was taken in and now regret flying to Atlanta and being trained to scam.I really cant see how there in business as everyone is self employed.

You need to make a report to everyone possible. When I contacted the BBB and my state attorney general they backed off. I also contacted a national consumer complaint line. Keep going, DONT let the put the pool on your property! GOOD LUCK

My husband and I are in the same situation only we found out today that they did file a lein on our home. I am talking to an attorney to find out how they could do that without even notifying us. The companies e mail address no longer works I also am in contact with the bbb on this matter. IF everyone who has been screwed by this so called company would band together all of us might be able to do something after all there is power in numbers
