I unfortunately found this site too late and I too have fallen prey to Blue World Pools! They quoted me and I have it in writing 7497.00 which I signed that contract and advised me I would pay no more than 187.00 per month. However, when the installers came they handed me finance paperwork saying the cost of the pool was $10,794! When I questioned it, the installer called the finance department who said the extra charge was for a "buy-down" charge stating that in order to get my percentage rate I was charged an additional $3,500.00! THEY DID NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES TELL ME ABOUT THIS ADDITIONAL MONEY! Even when he played back the recording the lady says "the buy-down charge is included in the price of the pool." When I changed the contract to say the correct amount, the installer advised that I just voided the contract and then was refusing to give me a copy of the contract that he was trying to get me to sign! My husband and I literally physically tugged back and forth with the installer to get this contract! My husband finally tricked him and grabbed it! We got ourselves a copy of the fraudulent attempt to get an additional $3,500.00 from us! Needless to say, we do not have a pool now! I'm still waiting to hear back from the pool company to find out what they plan on doing next! I wrote and faxed them a nice letter which I'm hoping to get a response to soon! WHO EVER READS THIS...PLEASE DO NOT USE BLUE WORLD POOLS!! YOU'RE BETTER OFF WAITING AND GETTING ONE FROM A REPUTABLE COMPANY!!!

They decided to cancel my contract saying that they were unable to finance me. I am assuming since I had proof of their attempts at fraud, (eg. copies of the "new" contract they were trying to get me to sign at the time of installation), they decided it was best to just cancel my contract. I have since gotten an Intex pool 16' x 4' from Sam's for under $300.00 and it's working fine for now until my credit is good enough to go to a reputable pool dealership. I would suggest that anyone looking into obtaining a pool through Blue World Pools do the same thing!! If you can't afford to buy it outright from Blue World Pools, DO NOT FINANCE! ALSO, VERY IMPORTANT...THEY PUT A LIEN ON YOUR HOUSE, WHICH THEY DO NOT TELL YOU UNTIL ABOUT 2 WEEKS AFTER YOU SIGN THE CONTRACT WHICH BY THEN IS TOO LATE TO CANCEL!!! IF YOU FINANCE THROUGH BLUE WORLD POOLS, THEY ABSOLUTELY WILL PUT A LIEN ON YOUR HOUSE WHICH PREVENTS ANY KIND OF REFINANCE ATTEMPTS, ETC.

Fraudulent and Misleading Business Practices

For some reason my text did not appear with the last post I made. So, here it is again! I agreed with Blue World Pools (BWP) to a price. I signed a contract for that price. They showed up to install my pool with financing papers for me to sign and guess what? The price on the contract changed by $3,500.00!!! When I questioned it, the finance department advised that it was due to a "buy down" charge to lower my finance rate. I advised them that was not what my contract stated! The gentlement then played the recorded agreement I made when the financing person called me. She said "the buy-down cost is included in your purchase price." She never explained what the "buy-down" cost was, nor did she advise how much it was, nor that it was an ADDITIONAL cost being added on to my contract price! After this I asked the installer for a copy of the contract that they were trying to pass off on to me. He then proceeded to get loud yelling "IT'S MINE, IT'S MINE, IT'S MINE!!!" My husband and I almost ripped the paperwork tugging back and forth trying to get it from this man. After my husband tricked him, he was able to grab it back and get a copy of it! I immediately wrote and faxed a letter to blue world pools advising them they need to cancel my contract or rewrite my contract stating the amount that I was quoted on the original contract! I'M STILL WAITING TO HEAR FROM THEM!!!
