Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
It all started about 6 years ago when I worked for a Subway in Mansfield TX, Everything was going great for the first 6 months I was there, But the old owners got in trouble with the law and had to sell the store. Well, Robert Suarez ended up buying it from them. Things were good for a while and then people started to complain about there paychecks being short and money taken out for uniforms they never received. I had many checks that had shortages taken out for no reason. No one could explain why.

Sounds fishy to me...So after a while of this I got tired of it and quit. I went to work for another subway in Grand Prairie TX, Things went good there for while too..come to find out Robert Suarez owned that one too.. Here we go with the shortages again.. At that time my Boyfriend worked there too and he only worked there for 2 weeks but when it came to getting his paycheck he got only a few dollars..he had 25.00 taken out for a uniform he didnt get..he got one of my old ones I gave him. And he had money taken out of his check for cash shortages wich I always have done a cash in and cash out before I leave and he wokred the same shift as me and we were never more then 5 cents short or over.So we ended up quitting that one. You would think I'd learn not to go back to Subway but Idid yet another time and lo' and behold Mr suarez owned that one too!!!! Learned my lesson after that last one.

My sister was manager for a few of his 52 stores he owns..The last one she worked at was in Grand Prairie the same one I worked at...She was always a very good manager..Never got in trouble before with him.. All the sudden after 4 yrs. managing his stores He fires her and says some stupid crap like you changed the paperwork and lied about this and that ...none of it was true..The real reason they fired her was becuase they found out that she was gay!!! Thats my opinion anyways becuase I don't think he likes gay people because come to think of it I haven't see one gay person work for him.

My brother worked at the store off of 157 in mansfield (no longer Subway) After about 1 yr working there he recieved a check from a customer that always came in and always wrote good checks well this one happened to bounce and it was for 85.00 and that loser ended up taking out 85.00 from his check!!!! it wasn't his fault the check bounced and he shouldn't of had that taken out. We called the labor board and after 1 yr of fighting with them over a stupid 85.00$ Robert suarez had to cut him a personal check. So my adivce would be if you are looking to work in a subway within a 50 mile radius of dallas and ft.worth you need to check and see if Robert Saurez or a company called Bob Rich Enterpises owns it. If they do... STAY AWAY!!!!.. Don't make me say I told you so.... feel free to email me if you have any comments or questions about this..its..(((ROR REDACTED E-MAIL ADDRESS FOR SECURITY PURPOSES)))

thanks,

Jessica

It is illegal for any employer to take any deductions from your payroll without your written consent.

I believe there is a 2 year statute of limitations (in Texas), but for future info if deductions are taken out and you did not authorize it.  Then you need to contact the Hour and Wage Dept of the Texas Labor Board.  You can also check with the Texas Workforce Commission (the same place you file for unemployment)  they too can give you helpful information on how to file against an employer for unfair practices.
