BODYWORX Massage & alternative therapies, Natural Connection, Soaked me in Cooking Oil in a fluorescent lit room and than cut my time by 15 minutes. Edinburgh, United Kingdom Internet
I am writing this to you because i was shocked and appalled by the service i received from BODYworx. First of all, that is not their official name. They had another name called "Natural Connection" at the front of their shop. I would like to report this place as a scam. I've been to many massage places throughout Edinburgh and other parts of the world and i've NEVER experienced anything like this place.
First of all, the lady who massaged me was 20 minutes late for my massage. I didn't mind so much about that at first as i thought that maybe she will finish 20 minutes later with me too. The massage room was so brightly lit with a florescent hospital like light, i thought she was going to switch it off once she started the massage but she didn't. I chose the Aromatherapy message. Ok now this is where it gets disgusting, she used oil that she had poured into a glass bowl which smelt really awful. It smelt like cooking oil! I couldn't believe it as this was supposed to be aromatherapy!
After this, it gets worse. She than decides to put 3 warm stones on my back after massaging me for only 20 minutes. She leaves the room and comes back in about 25 minutes to remove the stones. She than tells me that i can put my clothes back on and leaves the room. Once i've changed back into my clothes, i realized that she had cut my time by 15 minutes (i was looking forward to the end as the room was so harshly lit and i couldn't relax as the light was glaring but she didn't have the right to decide that for me).
When i came out of the room, she was chatting with a woman and two other men who seemed to be her friends and they were conversing in Russian. They just totally ignored me and so i left the building. When i left the place i felt disgusted as i was drenched in cooking oil and was close to vomiting from the smell of it. I was in disbelief and never felt so cheated before! Can you please tell me and tell me what action i can take?
