Bonaventure, Park Vista Bullying, harassing staff AND RESIDENTS. Park Vista is all about $$$$$. Residents and staff are dirt. Port Orchard, Washington
Bonaventure has been serving up evil in Port Orchard, Wa since they opened in 2006 at Park Vista. We are currently on Executive Director number 20. We are on about # 10 plus of office managers. At least 20 nurses and head cooks have drifted through the doors of 2944 SE Lund. I cannot count the the numbers of caregivers, med aides, receptionists, activities staff, servers and housekeepers that have been fired or quit.
As of March of 2012, Satan herself entered the building- Bridget Stamper. From day one she started taking charge like an army general. Disrespecting the residents, swearing and belittling the staff including the ED at the time, with no concern with who could hear. She manipulates residents and staff with her magic to get them "on her side".
Bridget Stamper was accused of grabbing a private caregiver but was never charged or suspended. She was accused of almost causing the death of a long time resident in the Assisted Living part of Park Vista. She was never charged with anything or suspended She worked as a caregiver along with her husband, (HER HUSBAND!!!) one night shift. She has NO care giving experience. Nor does her husband that was there helping that night. Bridget Stamper is A OFFICE MANAGER who used to work at the Kitsap Sun and Subway. She was never charged with anything or suspended.
Bridget Stamper is heartless. She has been in control of Park Vista since she got hired as Office Manager. She intimidated and belittled Sandy Wilkinson to the point of Sandy giving up (she was let go in Nov 2012)
Bridget Stamper calls residents names like "Trouble" "Old Man". They don't like it but she does not stop. Another residents daughter told me that Bridget asked the daughter numerous times when she was going to get her hair colored because her gray was showing. (her mother was dying)
We did have a temporary ED named Kim who was ok for the month she was here.
In December of 2013- Karen Trahan came on as Executive Director. Lord have mercy. She is intimidating just in her being. She is over 6 feet tall has a deep voice and always talked about her 35 years of experience. She spent much of her time paddling up stream with her lies to residents and staff. She told us, the residents that Park Vista had a 3 day supply of food and water stored and that the cook rotated that stock every 3 months. What a crock! I have lived here for almost 5 years and have never seen nor heard of this emergency food/water .
Karen told us that all the staff was trained on how to put out fires and that we had a fire drill every month. That is another lie. We have had about two fire drills a year and those are planned since I have lived here. She told us that the activities directors hours and the receptionist hours were not cut in anyway. Well, Bridget hired her future daughter in law to work as the receptionist so the regular receptionist lost 16 hours a week. The activities director also had her hours cut. It was obvious. We may be OLD BUT WE ARE NOT STUPID!.
As of last month, the activities director, Lavonne who has been at Park Vista for 6 years was fired.
We were told that she did not do her job. What we know now is that Lavonne spoke up about what Karen AND Bridget were doing to sabotage her job, she got fired. We got a petition signed to have her come back but we were laughed at for trying.
We had a Marketing Director here for about 3 weeks in March. He got fired because he spoke up to Karen. NO ONE CAN SPEAK UP at Park Vista. Residents OR STAFF!!! Corporate blows everyone off. They act like they are interested but they laugh behind our backs. Staff are fired if they ever speak up. Pam Gray is a JOKE. She knows all this is going on. So does Kelly Hamilton, the CEO. CORPORATE KNOWS THAT THERE IS BULLYING GOING ON and they don't care. As long as the $$$$ is coming in, nothing else matters.
**Update from when I started drafting this complaint- Karen Trahan, Executive Director is no longer with Park Vista. She said her husband has cancer. No believes her. She has done nothing but lie since she got here. We think she got told to quit or get fired (that is how BONAVENTURE WORKS). God bless her husband IF HE REALLY HAS CANCER. Sorry, but no one will miss you.
I could go on for pages. Bonaventure is money hungry. Once you move in, you are caught in the web of evil, you are nothing but a number on a census report and the staff are used as slaves with slave pay.
