aged woman whose husband works a lot, and being home alone I thought that I would look for a small companion. I began to look for puppies on the internet and found Bonbon ChihuahuasI spoke with Christy and she met me around the corner from her house in spring, and then had me to follow her. When I arrived, the horrible smell from the feces and urine hit me all at once. She had so many puppies everywhere in dirty laundry baskets and in wire cages. She claimed that the parents were housed at another located due to her being turned in to BARC / spca by her neighbors. There was diarrhea in the places where the puppies were being kept and they looked just awful! I was so sad for them. She had carried in a cardboard box from her car that contained even more puppies. She told me at one point that the mother to a puppy I was inquiring about was one that she had in her house. When she brought her out to me she looked as though she was about to pop she was so pregnant. She said that an 8 week old puppy was this dogs, and she also said that the same dog was due any day.

I do not breed any animals, but this seemed impossible to me. Sarah had an answer for every question I asked, although throughout the visit the answers where never consistent. It seemed as though she changed the answers to my questions just to suite what I was asking. I never felt as though I got a truthful answer from her during the entire visit. I felt very uncomfortable during the visit as she explained that even though she had one of her puppies on her website for 3400.00, she subsequently sold that puppy for only 450.00. I was also alarmed at how she had claimed to have teacup Chihuahuas and by the pictures on the website I thought they were tiny.

When I saw them, they were at least 2 lbs and not even 10 weeks old. I felt as though this was very deceiving, as the puppies on her website were just that, very young puppies and there were no new pictures that showed their up to date size and health status. I believe that she does this just to get people out to her home and pressure them into a sale of a much larger and more expensive puppy than what they were coming to see. Towards the end of the visit she became very agitated and was trying to close the deal. She did not have the puppy she had described to me and I did not want to purchase a puppy than was living in less than sanitary conditions. I wanted a healthy puppy, and with the smelly diarrhea, they looked dehydrated and very sick. When she knew that I was not going to settle for a puppy, and wanted a puppy of my choosing, she became short and acted in a very strange and aggressive way. How was it my fault that she did not have what she had described to me? When I started to ask more questions, she could not get me out of her home quick enough. I am led to believe from the puppies I saw that she is either a puppy mill or sells puppy mill dogs she buys from others. The puppies were not from the same litters and looked very different. My hope is that someone will read this and know what they have in store for them with Bonbon Chihuahuas.Texas houston area U.S.A. Do not buy from this puppy mill, reseller. Any one who has bought a puppy from this person should ask her to dna check the puppy, she will not be able too as she bought them cheap and resold them to you for large sums of money

I am also a purchaser of a perfect Bonbon chihuahua puppy.   I have been in Mrs. Leach's clean and happy chihuahua home.  The initial report IS false and was cut and pasted from another complaint concerning a different breeder.

I am in the process of purchasing a puppy from this establishment and believe the initial complaint to be completely false.  I have been in Ms. Leach's home several times, we communicate through email and phone.  This is no puppy mill, the website clearly states there is no such thing as a teacup chihuahua and there are no guarantees on how much a chihuahua puppy will weigh as an adult.

We've had several discussions on breeding and Ms. Leach feels the same way I do--breeding should be done to improve the breed and is not about pumping out mass quantities of puppies.  And she is cautious enough to only allow handling of a puppy after the puppy has had initial vaccinations.  Does that sound like the actions of a breeder who would leave her puppies sickly and in a urine and feces contaminated environment?  I think not.

I think this complaint should be taken with a grain of salt.  Either poor memory (ie who is Sarah?) or someone is trying to cause trouble for whatever reason.

Poorly Copied Negative Report Regarding Someone Else

This is OBVIOUSLY a poorly changed copy of a negative report written about someone else. You can see that they didn't change all the names throughout this "complaint". Here is the original complaint:

(((ROR redacted)))

We have high quality dogs that are as smart as they are beautiful, there are those out there that would love to see us gone. I'm sorry, but we love these dogs too much. They are our family members and we will continue to hold ourselves to higher standards than most.

Am I perfect? Absolutly not! Want to complain about something? In the mornings, my daughter's dog slips out the front door and poops in the neighbors yard. Seriously, almost every single morning. I teach my dogs stupid tricks like "play dead", "beg" and "wave". I kiss up our vet with baked goods. I have an old lady dog that loves treats and could stand to lose about 1/2lb. I don't take pictures of the puppies every single week, only every two weeks. I only clean their litterbox out twice a day, instead of three times.

Not only BonBon chihuahuas but Dream Chihuahuas too. My chihuahua is 9 pounds and was sold to me as a teacup which would be 3 pounds when grown up
