Boomerang Data Recovery Software Sold non-working software - No contact of any kind on website Internet
I was looking for data recovery software for OS X to recover some .sd2 files. Their boomerang software claimed it could learn file types, so I thought I would try the demo. The demo claimed to find my files so I purchased for $199. After running the software, it created over 1 million files, all corrupt. It did not work.
I tried to contact the company, but they have no email or phone number on their website. So I posted in the forum asking for help. The next day, my account was suspended, my post removed and my name posted on a 'cheats and liars' webpage (I'm guessing maintained by them as many of the 'cheats' have the same dollar value next to their names).
Any contact would have been helpful, but they just took my money and then shut me out. Avoid this company and software or if you need help, you will be branded a 'cheat and liar'.
