I went to purchase a vehicle from Bound Brook Ford. I was quoted 0.9% financing and a $2500 rebate. The Finance Manager told me to leave a $1000 deposit to "hold the car" and the contract will be worked up the next day.

I was told to sign a paper to hold the car. He said not to worry, this is not the contract. The real contract will be signed tomorrow.

The next day I went to get my vehicle. I went to the Finance Managers Office and the paperwork was showing 10.9% interest. I said that was not the deal, it was 0.9% so I would like my deposit back.

He brought in this big guy in the room, who was the manager. The manager said and I quote "If you want your F--kin deposit back, hire an attorney and take us to court because your not getting it back. The held my deposit hostage, I was forced to purchase the vehicle. Calls to the owner, Ford and the BBB did not help at all.

Bound Brook Ford Holds Deposit Hostage Rip-off Fraud liars *UPDATE I paid off the vehicle instead of paying them the interest! Bastards! Ford offers the rates and rebates. The offer was 0.9% finance OR ( THE KEY IS OR ) a $2500 rebate NOT BOTH. That is the offer and that is not negotiableby the dealer or the customer. It was clearly explained.

I also forget to mention, just 3 days later I ended up having to buy the vehicle because of their refusal to give me my deposit. I was able to get the interest lowered to 8.9%. I payed off the loan within three days, did not want to give them interest.

My phone calls to the owner were not returned. I filed a complaint with FORD. Ford did not do anything.

This is a BLUE OVAL DEALERSHIP!
