Boyajian Law Offices unfair collections ripoff Rutherford, New Jersey
I was contacted by in 7/05 regarding a debt for medical services in 1/00. I called to inquire about the debt because I was immediately suspicious and was hung up on when I demanded more informaton on the debt and was told she would only tell me that I owed $236 and needed to pay it. I was never sent confirmation of the debt, but did find later that month that a mark was put on my credit report. I received several more demanding phone calls from the office and finally sent them a request in writing for verification of the debt; they "never received it" and continued to haras me. After complaining to the Ohio Attorney General and FTC I was sent a letter by Boyajian that they would confirm the debt if able; that was the last I heard from them. I filed complaints with the credit reporting agencies and they subsequently removed the Boyajian info from my report.

Congrats on not being intimidated by these scumbags. Many people would have caved in and paid rather than fight it, and you did exactly the right thing by requesting proof of debt and filing reports with the OH atty general and FTC. Boyajian and his ilk will never learn that they wouldn't have to violate the FDCPA by threatening people if they had proof of debt in the first place.
