make it the responsibility of the creditor to prove the debt, it's easy. contact the credit reporting agencies and tell them you want to dispute the delinquent account. the credit agency then sends a dispute form to the company reporting delinquent and they have 30 days to provide proof that the account is yours or it is automaticly removed from your credit by the reporting agency (TRW,EXPERIAN & TRANS UNION)

BP is a gasoline company and they do offer a BP Gas Credit Card. The Citi portion of your BP/Citi stands for Citibank. In other words, the $115.00 that the agency indicates as being unpaid was due to the purchase of gasoline using a BP gasoline credit card in 1998 and that card was issued through Citibank. There is no company called BP/Citi. Copied from a site: Use your Platinum BP Visa card at over 15,000 BP and Amoco locations across the country and you'll earn a 3% rebate towards free gasoline.
