Brinks Transport provided a quote based on specific & detailed information. After making the quote, we decided to move several large items ourselves, filling an entore pick-up truck, trailer and large SUV. They still managed to under-quote by 20% (wich is actually more like 30% since we move a large porion ourselves). The company bases their estimate on square-ffotage rather than weight. This is not typical for the industry and is not accurate at all. It also allows them to cheat (i.e. half-empty boxes).

When we questioned the poor ability to make an accurate quote. The salesman told us he was quiting the company because they were dishonest and that he was sorry. Too late for us because they had our stuff.

The truck showed up two days late. The "crew" of two truck drivers arrived with no movers and no plan to get any. They spent a half day trying to hire locals with no luck. The even tried to hire the irrigation workers putting in a sprinkler system next door (this caused a fight with the irrigation foreman).

The drivers also showed up with no packing materials. They bought all the remaining boxes at the local U-haul store, but it wasn't enough. We paid over $1300 for packing service, and all they did was cram things into a few boxes without any packing material. Many items (including small, breakables) were just tossed onto the truck as it it were a garbage truck.

After many conversations with the company owner, he promised to re-pack everything when it got to the warehouse. When our stuff arrived, not one item had been re-packed.

The truck showed up two days late, and again they had no plan to h**e workers. It took several hours before they could find several illegals. Then, they demanded full CASH payment prior to even opening the truck. We called the police.

The police had them open the truck and stayed there while they started unlaoding. All through this, the owner of the company yelled at us on the phone saying he wanted cash.

Many items were damaged or destoyed. Although they had very few boxes, many were packed only half full (increased the square-footage).

We have moved 12 times. Some were good and some were bad. This was the first time we felt like we were scammed. The company appears to be illigitimate. This does not seem to be a real moving company. AVOID!
