I purchased a male Chihuahua from Brittany Starkey of Stardom Chihuhuas on 11/15/17. Took the puppy home and fell in love with little Liam Henry. He had a large open Font that my vet confirmed and he had a problem on 1/13/18 and I rushed him to the Vet as he could not even hol up his head. Vet examined him and he said it looked like propable congenital hydrocephaly. (Hydrocephalus) Which is too much fluid in the brain that builds up pressure as they get older. So I was referred to a Neuroligst which I saw right away and he confirmed the diagnosis. An MRI was going to be done but then the Dr. came in and said he would not make it through the anesthesia and reccomended to euthanize him as he was suffering. So I cried and we put him down as I could not let him suffer. I contacted Mrs. Starkey and told her that he had to be put down and why also sending her the vet and neurologist exams and diagnosis. So upset I only asked her to refund my $1,300 that I had paid for him not even 2 months before as I did not want another puppy from her as it is a hereditary condition and was told NO because I did not have a Necropy performed after we put him down!! Really?? How heartless can you be? I just lost me little baby and all she was worried about was an exam done after death to determine cause of death. WE KNOW HE DIED BECAUSE WE EUTHANIZED HIM! Both the Dr. and Neuroligist had already confirmed his diagnosis. Please don't buy any puppies from such a uncaring breeder! She has even had the nerve to have friends bother me and a lawyer contact me about slander. Well slander is only if the statements are not TRUE! This is true and fact as I lost my baby and she has refused to return my money for the puppy. I can attach vet and Neuro diagnosis as well as the contract that states if diagnosed written by vet then replacement puppy given. I don't want another puppy from her of course! I would go to a reputable breeder next time!

Ok here’s the real story. Carol brought this puppy to the vet for being wobbly and not acting right. When carol called crying I told her to do multiple tests to see what was going on. Carol lied and said everything was done and he had to be euthanized. Nothing was done. Carol did not fight for this puppy or do anything to prove what was going on with this puppy. Anyone with half a brain can read her vet report. This was a likely diagnosis but needed further diagnostics to prove so and there were other rule outs. Please carol show me in this report where your vet recommend you to euthanize this puppy. Now you are putting words into your vets mouth. Actually your vet recommended you do more testing, or even to try medications and he would have a fair chance, you didn’t take that chance. Really? You wouldn’t try on a fair chance! In your report it actually shows that YOU REQUESTED him to be euthanized!!! You are manipulating this story. And please re Red your contract I cover genetic conditions, not congenital, which you can’t prove he had either, because you did nothing to prove so.

This dog could’ve easily been dropped, a bump on his head(which she let her bigger dog play roughly with him), run into something or had low blood sugar. But again you did not fight to figure it out. Nobody who loves their puppy goes to the vet for an exam and to be put down without any sort of diagnostics or even a DIAGNOSIS! A likely, or probably, is not fact. Proof is fact. Which you have none. You manipulate everyone’s mind to feel sorry for you when in reality you killed this puppy without giving him any sort of chance. You did not follow your contract in any sort of fashion, which is funny you never post your contract with me because you know you will outed. I would never ever ever place a puppy in this woman’s care again. If she put half the effort into figuring out what was wrong with that puppy as she does into slandering me, he would still be here. Nor would I ever replace a puppy without any sort of diagnostics or evidence that this puppy had an issue. Plain as day she took her puppy for an exam and a requested euthanasia. Nobody who loves their pet lets go with nothing done. Breeders beware, no puppy should ever be in the care of this kind of owner.

Please read her vet records closely. There is enough proof in those records alone that her vet urged her to do more, not to euthanize him. And yes I do require a necropsy. This is solid proof and evidence of any issues and helps any breeder in future knowing about what is being produced. If she did not want to ever have to have one done she did not have to sign my contract and she did not have to buy this puppy. I even reminded her the day of his visit to have this done, she did not. I asked her to have multiple tests done, she said they did everything, she did not. Later admitting to this, which I have proof of and also having proof of her feeling guilty she did nothing. Before you go believe a side to any story please review both sides. This woman has slandered, harassed me, stalked me for months now. She has posted in multiple groups making strangers message me threatening my life, my job, my dogs, and my livelihood. My dogs are my life and I protect them with all that I have. I urge you to never sell to this person. If your puppy sneezes she may just euthanize him and want a refund.
