My name is Thad Crouch and Im posting this to verify the accuracy of the above account of events.
Brooks Cole of HoloCosmos received $20,000 for work he never and has kept it for over two years without any meaningful efforts to repay or reconcile.
I was witness to the events and dealt with Brooks also. He wasted our time, cost us out-of-pocket expenses, and created huge opportunity costs when he did not do the work for which he was paid.
Brooks Cole agreed to build a website to promote, organize and launch events which have been credited with saving lives, but is now more than 2 years behind schedule and has done little more than create a logo and make excuses.
We were so patient and forgiving with Brooks Cole for many months. We sought to resolve this several times in several ways that would allow Brooks Cole to save face.
Eventually we could not afford to work with him anymore, as he was completely unreliable.
If you know or meet Brooks Cole, please ask him to make restitution.
If you are thinking about doing business with Mr. Cole, ask him about this, do your research before hiring him and most importantly, I suggest you do due diligence, and not pay Brooks Cole any money in advance.
The biggest cost to us has been the opportunity cost to the work we do to help others.
We were counting on the ever-delayed web site to promote, organize and help fund a training for soldiers who stand for their values, beliefs and consciences in the face of orders to violate their consciences.
If youve seen footage of soldiers around the globe killing and maiming people who struggle peacefully for freedom and democracy, or if youve spoken to a veteran with severe PTSD or moral injury and know about the suicide risk, then you may realize lives could be saved with this training. Indeed at least one U.S. Iraq War Veteran has credited this work with saving his life.
Cole had promised us multiple times that he realized what was at stake, and that he would come through for us.
I am an Army Veteran and a warrior for conscience that since 1994 has worked and volunteered with Catholic, veteran and citizen peace groups to abolish war as a foreign policy.
As a commissioner of the 2010 Truth Commission on Conscience in War, I announced this event to people and organizations around the country. It was an embarrassment to tell those sponsors, friends, and organizations that we were postponing.
When I see HoloCosmos marketing to people who offer life-changing and life-saving programs, it gives me great concern. When Brooks Cole takes money from such people and organizations, he not only hurts our incomes, he impedes the actualization of those visions.
In short, we trusted Brooks to help us fulfill a dream and we got a nightmare.
Don't let that happen to you.
So again, if you know or meet Brooks Cole, ask him to make restitution.
Brooks, if you read this, make this right.
May our hearts accept the challenges of Love as readily as the comforts.
