Complaint Review: Brown Carerra Realty LLC - Leesburg Virginia

 Dear Ripoffreport users and any prospective tenants of Brown Carrera Realty LLC, I strongly advise anyone considering leasing through this company to explore one of the many other options in our area. These guys are the lowest of the low, have absolutely zero respect for their tenants and every employee I've had the pleasure of encountering has a terrible attitude. I am a current tenant and I'm am in complete misery living under their rule, I've seen prisons with looser standards than these guys have. I rent a home with a lovely yard, shame I cant use it because I'm banned from having ANY patio furniture or outdoor decorations. I have to stand in my stark, bare yard if I wish to enjoy the outdoors. Same goes for my lovely full length porch, must also remain vacant or I'll get a letter threatening eviction if I don't remove any and all personal items from the property. It literally isn't up to their standards until it looks like the house is vacant from the outside. If you have any sort of personality or design sense, good luck making your house a home, they allow nothing, but they'll leave that out until you sign the lease and pay up.

I'm constantly harassed about the outside of my home and they are always poking around inspecting every little thing, meanwhile its infested with rats and has multiple code violations and safety hazards. I get constant emails and phone calls from their office and they are flat out rude and bordering on harassment. Bottom line is they expect you to do everything they ask instantly, they hate when you ask questions and god help you if you need maintenance. Basically its a sign the lease, pay the money and be harassed until you move out type of thing. Most tenants as I'm learning rarely re-sign another lease with this company, some even simply leave mid term because they cant take the harassment and negligence. Avoid this company at all costs, you will severely regret ever leasing from them if you're fooled long enough to be tricked into a lease.

Again I am a current tenant and am simply posting my experiences and opinion. Not out to get anyone, just want the truth to be out there so any people considering this company can be well aware of what they will likely deal with. Above is my formal review that I've posted on multiple sites, had to be professional and adhere to standards. Fortunately I can further advise on this particular site. Brown Carrera's staff have bullied, lied to, harassed and violated me in ways I can not begin to put in writing. I'm stuck in their miserable property for a while, they want me out now because we butt heads about things. I'm a model tenant though so they cant find a reason to give me the boot. That results in constant harassing emails, phone calls and random inspections of my property. They don't think I pay enough in rent, they have made that known, the landlord himself set the rent rate because he knows what a cracker box this house really is. I have had my landscaping service that is included in my lease taken away. Went from professional landscaping once a week to some dude and a weed wacker that shows up every so often and doesn't cut everything. That results in the lawn looking like total crap almost all the time. I've also had numerous services and amenities removed with no notice, although they are included with the property. I even had the physical size of my outdoor property shrank to accommodate new neighbors.

This company was founded by a father who has now passed the business on to his daughter and son in law (way to ride daddy's coat tails) and they are running the business into the ground. They are the laughing stock of the real estate market in our area, you'll only deal with them once and you'll regret it for eternity.
