I received a call from the number (876) 437-2458 that read that it was from Jamaica. The caller said his name was Bryan Campbell of Publisher's ClearingHouse. He congratulated me on being a 3rd place winner of PCH and that I'd won $350,000.00 and a brand new 2014 Mercedes Benz. All I had to do was pay $2,000.00 for Shipping and Handling.

When I asked him why I had to pay S & H, he said it was for the car. He had me write down some information so that I could verify that I was the recipient once the prize crew arrived. He had me take down the following info: Check#, Claim#, Receiving#, License#, Registration#, and a PIN# for the bonus prize- a 2014 Mercedes Benz.

That made it seem so real. When he asked me for my email address I again became suspicious because PCH already has it as I already receive announcements and offers from them. Plus, if I'd won a prize from PCH, wouldn't they have contacted me by email first?

I told him that I would talk to my husband and the caller agreed to call me back that evening. That gave me time to check my email for messages about PCH awards and offers.... nothing was there. When "Bryan Campbell of PCH" called me back I asked how I would have to pay for S&H. He said to purchase 3 Green Dot MoneyPak cards and put $500 on each. (He took off $500 since I'm strapped for cash and couldn't pay $2,000.)

I ended the call, leading him to believe that I would purchase 3 cards, put $500 on each, and call him back with the cards' information within the next 24 hours. He said that once I gave him the info my prizes would arrive the next day. I then searched the internet for this type of scam and found out it truly is a scam.

When he called the next day to get the info off of the three Green Dot MoneyPak cards I said I'd purchase, I told him there's no way I'm going to pay $1,500 Shipping and Handling for being a winner of $350,000.00 and I hung up. He called me back so I asked him "Why can't I just give a $1500 check to the PCH Prize crew when they show up at my door?" He said that part of the info from the MoneyPak cards would be printed on the check. I told him I'd just consider myself a $350,000 loser as I report him to the FBI and give them his phone number. I will do exactly that. I hope they can catch him.
