Complaint Review: Buddy Dolan - ocoee Florida

Its around $100,000 not $3,000.

Nice try but the money in one set of projects from various investors was upwards of $100,000 to Buddy Dolan (and keep in mind that was just one) so trying to make it sound like it was around $3,000 is more than slightly inaccurate but perhaps that one situation was brought up because it is in the court records.

Please keep in mind. More responses just keep the conversation going. It might be better to call it a day, especially since people can look up information for themselves and verify the truth.

Addressing the Responses (my experience and opinion):

The HARVARD story began years ago with him claiming he  graduated from Harvard, he would even put it on his producers resume adding that he then went on to graduate with a masters from Syracuse. When he got caught - he didnt actually have a degree from Harvard or Syracuse he downgraded it to telling people he attended Harvard.  The problem is Harvard (and yes, their LEGAL department too) have confirmed that Buddy Dolan ( Albert Dolan ) has NEVER been accepted, attended nor has any record of Buddy as a student of Harvard University or its colleges. Syracuse University also denied any knowledge or records of Buddy Dolan or Albert Dolan and firmly denied him obtaining a masters degree.

JULLIARD School further stated that Buddy Dolan ( Albert Dolan ) has NEVER been accepted into Julliard.

THE MARINES may have been patient with his claims, at first, but impersonating a Marine is actually illegal and could lead to an arrest.

The SEMI-PRO BASEBALL story keeps changing from (triple A) to (double A) but either way- he has NEVER disclosed and in-fact refused to admit the name of the team or dates he played so no one can verify leaving it presumably to be false.

BLACKBELT story- same as the semi-pro baseball- Just tell us where you studied and where you registered your black belt since it was claimed to have been in the mid- 1990s the record will still exist.

ACTING: The vast percentage of movies and TV shows Buddy Dolan claimed to appear in or be a stunt man in seem to be fluff (In my opinion I would call them lies) - whatever goal or objective he had in doing it, whether it was to scam people, make him look important or another reason- only he knows. However, if it makes you feel better perhaps he was in a background shot for Burn Notice (I said that Burn Notice was unverified) and if he can show the footage for CJ and  Alias no problem, just post it on youtube and show where he was actually acting (and which we can verify in the episode)- Ill be more than happy to concede being wrong in those couple instances because my objective was to find the truth not to create misinformation. However, I would also like Buddy Dolan to explain the other 18-20 credits that he did not (according to the producers and casting directors) work on and was never part of- One credit still does not explain a dozen false ones.

It is admirable to try to defend people we care about, but it may not be helpful if you were duped and are defending a false claim. Its kind of really easy to find out the truth just call Harvard or the Marines.

Despite what you assume, this isn't malicous, Buddy made these claims himself. If he was the one who claimed to have gone to Harvard and be a Marine or to have starred in television and film that have no record of him-  why don't you ask him why?

HERES THE THING ABOUT ALL THIS- this came about because Buddy Dolan had an article published and posted resumes about himself claiming these credits. Buddy Dolan publically made these claims and comments.

He put himself out as a public figure and this whole thing was a rebuttal of those claims.

If Buddy Dolan gets caught in a lie its because he lied, no other motivation.  If he continues to lie, people will continue to call him on it.

If he continues to claim to be a Marine, and is not, he could get arrested. again.

I dont know if Buddy Dolan did these things to scam people or because he felt insecure and wanted to be more than he was maybe it was both or maybe it was for a reason only he knows but what I do know- is that people can change and that Buddy Dolan has some extraordinary and likable qualities- we liked Buddy not his credits.  Who he is as a father, an athlete, a friend, and in his real creative works- is amazing and its enough. A lie just casts a shadow over those qualities.

The skeletons are now out of the closet. They can crumble and fade away.  Many people love a great I did something dumb and learned my lesson story so unless new lies are started or old ones are resurrected again- this all can just become part of the past.

That is in the hands of Buddy Dolan himself.

I actually read most of that post; snickering, then just got bored.  Amazing that someone would take so much time to write such libel, what's more pathetic is that this website (rip off report) allows for such personal attacks and won't separate such, from a legitimate business complaint - when valid
 
I found everything negative you wrote to be quite the opposite.  I invested finishing funds into a project Buddy produced.  Didn't get rich but got my money back and then some.  I found everything about him honorable, and your research (all your phone calls, horribly inaccuracte)
 
Knowing Buddy for about 6 years, I called him and asked him if he was going to respond.  He said he had notified his attorney, but felt that responding to such garbage would be a waste of time.

I asked him if he knew who the author of the post is; he said Cheri L. Melchione, or Shari Melchione (apparently she's varied her name a few times). 
 
Although for this post I'll have to "presume" it is Cheri L. Melchione.   Ironically this person is listed as a hostile influence in the private placement deal I received, along with several legal documents signed by her including a "Settlement Agreement", "Transfer of Rights" and "Hold Harmless Agreement" on her investment of $3,125.00 into a film she invested with Buddy.   I didn't pay much attention to it at the time, but did get some background on their dealings back in 2001 - 2002.  It makes more sense now, and apparently she holds a personal grudge.  (ya think?)
 
So, it's been over ten years, and this individual still has some deep rooted issues and chooses to use the vast power of the web to attack Buddy on events that hadn't occurred in their dealings.  Sad for her and unfortunate for Buddy because she obviously picked the right website, one which won't verify facts without a sizeable monetary payment, and even then nothings guaranteed to be removed or substantiated.
 
I will say this; from information I received, her (presumably Melchione) investment was to Parrot Bay Entertainment January 28th 2002.   Not Armada Entertainment as she lists.  Armada wasn't incorporated until later that year.   Pretty much everything she writes after that seems to be a diversion.
 
Funny, she wrote about a film he was in titled, "Animals" as 'soft porn', I got a little curious to see Buddy in that movie!  Bummer.It has nothing to do with porn, but it's an excruciating horrible exploitation of junk movie to watch and to my disappointment, Buddy never took his shirt off.  He shows more skin in Point of Contact, CSI, Alias, 24 (where he was uncovered *see below* scroll down) and Burn Notice.

I know Buddy Dolan professionally and personally for over 15 years. Comments in the report discrediting his SAG acting credits (for example) for TV shows such as the WEST WING and CROSSING JORDAN are untrue as I was there when he was acting on the set in both cases. I also know first hand the editor of CJ who worked on Buddy's scenes and I have seen the actual episodes on Television. I have seen the episode of ALIAS as well in which Buddy acted. For the person who wrote the report saying she could not find anyone who had actually seen any of the episodes it is likely they never tried.I have seen the pictures from the set of EXPENDABLES (not taken by Buddy but another actor on the set) and personally have met Jason Statham on three occasions who remembers working with Buddy Dolan for one day in a warehouse set for this movie in Louisiana. As concerns the show BURN NOTICE, I just saw the episode on USA Network the other night and talked to Buddy about it. It has run at least three times ( I am a fan of the show) since it was filmed. Buddy is unmistakable as a muscular villian with a notable role including speaking parts throughout the episode. I personally shot the Calvin Klein photo as a test shot that was sent to an ad agency to consider Buddy Dolan as a model for their campaigns. I know he attended JUILLIARD in their summer program, attended Harvard but graduated from University of Maine. He is a former Marine and also was in the Army. As concerns the claims he has no martial arts training, again a falsehood, as I have seen him do martial arts first hand and he is more than effective in the discipline. As for the "guy who threw a playful punch" Buddy shared this story and did not react because it was someone he knew. Anyone who truly knows Buddy knows he is an extremely physical tough guy, extremely strong and agile and is quite restrained because he has the power and training to easily hurt someone. As concerns his semi-pro baseball career, it was a farm team (triple A ) and he played until he had a leg injury. I could rebuff many of the other accusations as well but honestly do not have the time to do so. My objective is to show that this report is simply full of many inaccuracies and appears strictly to have been posted for malicious intent. I will encourage Buddy to take on whomever wrote this report full of falsehoods to clear his name. Such unsubstantiated reports particularly when the individual hides behind a "screen" name should be addressed and the individuals punished. To me this is not Freedom of Speech when the intent is to harm rather than to accurately inform.
