In my search for a new heating and air company I met Mr. Bulluck. He came to my home a total of 3 times to work on a unit installed in 1993.  My total loss of funds to date is $1121.

Mr. Bulluck "repaired" the unit that covers the second floor of my home. On his invoice he stated he would give a 2 year warranty on the work he did.  He charged over $385 to put freon in a unit that I told him had leaks.  This was information documented in a file on this unit by the previous owner. The unit cooled for 3 days and then stopped.

Mr. Bulluck then suggested that the unit be replaced. He was giving me a "deal" because he had a unit he could "shift" from another project. Clever guy, right? Just doing a favor to help out a fellow vet. Really??! Needless to say he eventually showed up (in his defense- due to inclimate weather in the month on June). When he did he did not install the "shifted" unit.  He called me and stated: "MIss Lynne, I f****d up! I found wires that were touching and I am going to trace the line to check for leaks and it should be good. I called several times to inform him that the unit was not working. Why he didn't install the unit is beyond me. By the way did I mention that he confiscated $500 in advance to start the job?

In the meantime I had to purchase 2 A/C window units from Home Depot at the cost of $413, because I had no cooling on the second floor!!!

Then he says to me, I will provide a refund.  What did that mean???  Every time we made a appt to meet, I could never reach him.  When I finally decided to call his office and ask his admin about my refund, she seemed surprised at my request. When Scott Cutting called on my behalf to inquire about my refund he told him that he could hold my money for 30 days according to his company policy. Funny, none of that was explained to me and it is not contained anywhere on the receipts I have.  So all told when I was given a "refund" it was a whopping total of $172, well let's just say it was not $500 for work not performed.

So we take all that and don't add in gas, travel and "other" it comes to-----$1121 "plus" out of pocket expenses.
