Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
We had a service performed monthly by Bulwark Exterminating. If we were not here when they came by, they wouldn't perform the service because the back gate would be locked. We were never charged anything extra because the service was not performed. Recently, we decided to cancel.

We were told that a final service was required if we were going to cancel and it would cost the usual amount. If we didn't want the final service, then we still had to pay the usual amount but it would be in the form a cancellation fee instead. No matter what, if we wanted to cancel, we couldn't. We had to pay the money. Even if we were not there, and the people came by, and the gate was locked, we would still be required to pay for a final service or cancellation fee. To us, this seems like very bad business. When a customer wants to cancel they should be allowed to cancel. We are on a month to month plan with them but there is no cancelling without a fee or final service. This just seems wrong and more people need to know about this so that they don't get suckered into this same deal. They say that it's part of their practice, a final service you must pay for, or no service and a fee instead. If you can, please lend us a hand. We would appreciate it.

This customer had signed a service agreement that states, "after the initial one year period this contract is automatically renewable on a month to month basis, and may be cancelled anytime after the first 12 months by either party giving 30 days written notice" Written notice has yet to be received by this customer. The fact that he is on a monthly service program would require one last treatment to be performed. We have made an exception to what he has intially agreed to. In order to uphold our good customer service, we have waived the last service he originally agreed to. In addition we have offered the first 3 months for free should he decide to start another one year service agreement with us. He would however be required to uphold the 30 day notice clause in the future..
